If you play Starfield on PC, you can get more out of your boost pack and fly further with a simple key assignment.
The absence of vehicles can make exploring a planet in Starfield quite sluggish, as you have to walk long distances and your stamina is not unlimited.
Your boost pack can be quite useful when exploring planets – and jumping is much more fun than walking, especially in low gravity. There is a trick that allows you to fly longer distances with your boost pack without changing anything in your equipment.
Jump further with an alternative key
How does the trick work? In Starfield on PC, you have the option to assign a primary and an alternative key layout on the keyboard for each action – such as jumping, melee combat, or sneaking.
For some reason, your jetpack’s boost is significantly more horizontal when you use the alternative key instead of the primary key. The primary key gives your boost a more vertical direction. This means that with the alternative key, you cover a greater distance in the forward movement.
We captured how big the difference is in a short video:
Start video
Jumping with the Boostpack in Comparison
In our test, we left the primary key on the “spacebar” and assigned the “Alt” key (left) for the alternative layout.
With the boost itself, we noticed that the character jumped several meters further from the same jumping point (a gray line on the ground) when we pressed “Alt” instead of the “spacebar”.
We also measured how long it takes to cover a distance when we sprint, jump with the normal boost pack layout or with the alternative boost pack layout.
sprint: 06.97 seconds
normal boost pack layout: 07.04 seconds
part of the distance had to be sprinted, as the boost pack could not cover the entire distance
What is the trick good for? As we found out, the trick allows you to cover a greater distance with the jetpack and get from one point to another faster. Especially in low gravity, you can cover larger distances more quickly.
You can also combine the two jumps, first reaching a higher point with the vertical jump, and then covering further distances with the horizontal jump without having to land.
Moreover, the enhanced horizontal boost allows you to navigate more easily between elevated objects. For example, you can try to jump from the airlock of your outpost to your landing spot without having to land in between and potentially use the stairs.
If you don’t have an outpost yet, we explain here how to build one:
With the upcoming patch 13.19, League of Legends will bring a major change. Those who misbehave in the game will receive a new penalty. Players will be excluded from ranked matches, but must spend their time actively in the game.
What does this new penalty look like? According to the LoL dev team, players who exhibit toxic behavior will henceforth be excluded from the ranked list for a certain number of matches. This means that those who are punished must first play normal rounds, ARAMs, or the rotating game modes to be allowed back into the rankings.
The following are affected:
Leaving a match
AFK
Intentional feeding
Trolling in the match
Bad behavior in chat

Toxic players will thus be excluded not just temporarily. The penalties before were rather harmless for many, as they simply switched to another account or ignored League for a few days or weeks. When they returned, everything continued as usual.
The new system truly hurts, as many players primarily play ranked matches, because they have a particularly competitive edge and are usually the most fairly balanced. However, to play again, they must first behave in lower-quality matches. Because those who remain toxic will continue to be excluded from ranked matches.
When will this change come? The new patch 13.19 is set to be released on Wednesday, September 27. It will also be the patch played at the World Championship – aside from perhaps minor hotfixes for Briar.
Now it seems that Riot has thought about this interim step.
How is this being received? Generally well, although there are some individual concerns. One user writes on Twitter that the affected players hopefully win the matches and do not just have to participate in them. Otherwise, they could ruin them again or at least not put in much effort to be allowed to play in the rankings again.
Others fear that the change could lead to more toxicity in matches outside of ranked. This could ruin the game for casuals who like to play a normal or an ARAM match. Moreover, this does not solve the problem of toxic players in normal matches, which is also seen critically.
Overall, however, there is praise for the change, as players with bad behavior should not have a place in ranked matches. Those who misbehave too often should be permanently banned from the game, demand some.
What do you think of this change? Will it really help or rather impact the casual side of LoL? Feel free to share in the comments.
A too small inventory is a thorn in the side of many people in Pokémon GO. Many tend to invest in the expensive inventory expansions, but even with that, there is a limit. Or so it was thought, as a player on reddit now shows that the inventory in Pokémon GO is basically endless.
How big can the inventory be? If you have a new Pokémon GO account, your inventory is still very small. However, this can be changed through the currency Poké-Coins, which can be bought among other things for real money.
If you buy all possible expansions with it, the inventory reaches a maximum size of 4,500 items, but then it’s really over.
A clever player has now noted that there is a way to fill the inventory even further and found that not even the next zero plays a role.

How many items are possible? In a screenshot, the player No_Tune shared on reddit that he is currently carrying 10,041 items in his inventory. He wanted to prove that it’s not reaching an end at 9,999.
Whether he will take on the challenge to collect 100,000 items to provide the next proof is still unclear. Because behind this gigantic collection of items lies a considerable effort and some restrictions while playing.

How did he manage that? Anyone who has ever had a full inventory knows the annoying messages. You can’t spin any PokéStops anymore, can’t open gifts, and even from GO bullies, there are no rewards.
However, this system has exceptions, as the player has discovered. Specifically, the daily raid pass, which you receive for free when you spin at a gym for the first time that day.
If you don’t have one in your inventory, you can still spin at the gym to get it. You will simultaneously receive the items that you would have also gotten for the normal gym spin, regardless of whether your inventory is full or not.
Furthermore, raids also continue to give you items, as do routes. Whether this will always remain the case is not certain. In the comments, people point out that this used to work with the first PokéStop of the day, but it no longer does.
So, it is not necessarily sensible to stuff the inventory in this way, as you then become unable to do too many things in the game. Nevertheless, it is interesting to see that there is not even a limit at 9,999 slots. Many other players think so too, as the post has already received over 650 upvotes in one day.
What do you think about it? Have you already started such an experiment yourselves? Or do you find the whole thing rather pointless and burdensome? Let us know in the comments here on MeinMMO.
Another gaming victim in 2023. Evil Dead: The Game ceases development after just over a year.
Evil Dead: The Game was supposed to be a true competitor to Dead by Daylight. Horror-splatter action mixed with co-op gameplay, along with the well-known characters from the “Evil Dead” franchise. After just over a year, this dream has finally burst. Further development of the game has been halted – and the already announced Switch version will not be released at all.

Evil Dead in the Gameplay Trailer
What is going on with Evil Dead: The Game? In May 2022, Evil Dead: The Game was released and aimed to impress with suspense, action, and cooperative gameplay. However, the good mood lasted only a short time. While there were some smaller expansions with new content: a castle map inspired by the film “Army of Darkness” as well as the “Splatter Royale” mode. But gradually, the flow of content dried up. Now came the news on X (formerly Twitter):
We have made the decision to no longer pursue the development of new content for Evil Dead: The Game.

This was accompanied by the announcement that the once-planned Switch version of the game will no longer be released.
How has the game fared lately? Extremely poorly – at least when looking at the data on Steam. According to Steamcharts, Evil Dead: The Game had a peak of 43 concurrent players in the last 30 days.
Evil Dead was also available on Xbox and PlayStation – but here the player numbers are not known.
However, it must also be noted that the game was only released on Steam with significant delay and was mostly available on PC solely in the Epic Games Store. When it finally launched on Steam in 2023, all the hype had long since faded.
Can you still play? Yes. The servers will remain online for the foreseeable future, and if there are any “major issues,” the developers plan to address them.
However, how long this “foreseeable future” lasts can also be questioned. Those who want to play Evil Dead: The Game should do so thoroughly in the coming months before the plugs are eventually pulled completely.
What’s behind this? The news comes shortly after the announcement that the Embracer Group is facing financial difficulties. Major restructuring is currently taking place, leading to many layoffs and total job cuts. This affected, among others, the developer of the “Saints Row” series, Volition Games.

As an editorial team, it is also part of the business to assess new games. We consider how much hit potential they have, how much reach we can generate with the games, and how many resources we allocate to certain titles.
Baldur’s Gate 3 absolutely played no role for us in recent years. I planned almost no coverage for MeinMMO regarding the role-playing game because I didn’t expect much from it. What was the reason for this? I knew what kind of potential Larian Studios has, as I am familiar with the quality of Divinity: Original Sin 2.
Now, Baldur’s Gate 3 had already been in Early Access for three years before its release; it is so damn hard to create a hype for an initial release. In the years of Early Access, the RPG drifted along without much attention.
On top of that, there was a difficult release window. Baldur’s Gate 3 was supposed to come out amidst Bethesda’s Starfield, a hot contender for RPG of the Year.
This prompted us to spontaneously adjust our entire content planning overnight, redistribute resources, and fully accompany Baldur’s Gate 3 with stories and guides.
Therefore, the narrative that this RPG from Microsoft was severely underestimated in isolation is challenging. This mega-success surprised everyone in the industry, including Larian itself.

Therefore, the narrative that this RPG from Microsoft was severely underestimated in isolation is challenging. This mega-success surprised everyone in the industry, including Larian itself.
A leaked email shows that Microsoft wasn’t particularly interested in getting Baldur’s Gate 3 into the Xbox Game Pass. Apparently, the success of the game was completely underestimated, which is not entirely unreasonable.
What kind of leak is this? In connection with the ongoing legal battle between Microsoft and the US agency FTC, the Federal Trade Commission, countless confidential documents and internal emails from Microsoft were published.
In one of the documents that surfaced, Microsoft discusses how much money they are willing to pay for potential deals for the Xbox Game Pass. It turns out: Baldur’s Gate was severely underestimated. Apparently, they thought they could get the RPG hit at a bargain price.
Low “Wow Factor” at a Bargain Price?
What does the leak say? The document shows a long list of potential releases for the Xbox Game Pass. A table lists how high the “Wow Factor” of individual games is supposed to be. This is meant to indicate how much they expect from the titles.
Additionally, it assesses the likelihood of getting them into the Game Pass and how much they would presumably have to pay for it. The files were eventually removed from the FTC servers, but as the internet is known to be forever, they can still be found on imgur.
Baldur’s Gate was apparently quite low on Microsoft’s wish list.
The RPG was dismissed as a “second-run Stadia PC RPG”. The assessment refers to the planned release of Baldur’s Gate 3 on Google’s failed cloud gaming service.
Instead of a “Wow Factor”, the RPG was assigned the category “Hub”. It is unclear what the designation stands for; it may refer to the Xbox Insider Hub. Microsoft also expected to secure Baldur’s Gate for just 5 million US dollars.
For comparison: This amount was also expected for Red Dead Redemption 2, although according to the document, they were assuming a monthly payment of that amount. For Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, they expected a “very high” Wow Factor and estimated a price of 300 million dollars – which is 60 times what they expected for Baldur’s Gate.
Larian Defends Microsoft: “Everyone Did It”
How is this information being discussed? Given the immense success of Baldur’s Gate 3, Microsoft’s assessment seems curious. However, the email containing the document dates back to 2022: back then, no one expected how Baldur’s Gate 3 would perform at release.
The developers themselves reportedly expected only 100,000 concurrent players. A figure that has, even more than a month after release, been casually surpassed with a 24-hour peak of 293,814 players on Steam. At peak times, there were even 875,343 concurrent players (via SteamDB, as of September 20, 11:30)
For this reason, Larian likely does not hold Microsoft responsible for the misjudgment. Michael Douse, the studio’s Publishing Director, stated on X/Twitter: “In their defense: Everyone else did it too.”
In their defence, so did everyone else. Same with DOS2. Comes with the genre, and the way we approach things, and the way we execute things. There just isn’t any existing data that could have told anyone how BG3 was going to perform. We just had to take giant spooky leaps. https://t.co/BgLyW4cZZx
According to Douse, there simply weren’t any data available to predict the success of Baldur’s Gate 3. Therefore, he would not overestimate the assessment.

New World will receive its first expansion, Rise of the Angry Earth, in October. This brings a new max level, a revamped area, and mounts. But which content is actually exclusive to purchasing the expansion, and what updates benefit everyone? And can you still keep up without the expansion?
Will you fall behind without the expansion? Yes, at least in many endgame areas of the game. As the developers explained in a new Q&A, players without the new expansion will not be able to reach the maximum gear of 700. It also comes through that you cannot level beyond level 60.
This has strong implications for the gameplay:
You can no longer participate in mutations in the dungeons because you cannot reach the necessary level and gear.
You will also lag behind in PvP in the open world and in wars. Players at level 65 and with a higher gear score will simply have an advantage.
You will only be scaled in Outpost Rush and in the PvP arenas. There, your gear will automatically adjust to gear score 675. However, you will still lag behind players with gear score 700.
Are there any good news? Yes, because the previous content will not be taken away from you, apart from the mutations and the wars. You can continue to explore the areas, try out all the weapons, and follow the story up to the expansion.
Major changes to the old content – such as Edenhain becoming a PvP zone to fight over and receiving new bonuses like storage space, or the removal of the racial perks on the gear – will also be usable for players without the expansion.
You can watch the complete Q&A in English here:
Start video
New World: Forged in Aeternum – Community Q&A in September
No Pay2Win, but Pay to continue the Game
What else was revealed?
With the expansion, you should get to 700 gear faster than before
However, you will take longer to perfect the stats. You will have to grind a lot of materials to then reforge the gear.
The focus since the release has primarily been on PvE, but there are also ideas to bring larger PvP changes later.
No adjustments have been made to the portal events or invasions with the expansion.
Is the expansion something like Pay2Win? This question is also raised in the video. Scot Lane, the head of New World, explains in the video that it is not Pay2Win, but he sees it more as “Pay to continue the Game”.
After all, primarily endgame content is taken and either added to or revised. The complete early game remains for the players.
Basically, it is worth it to buy the bundle of the base game and the expansion directly now. It costs €68.99, which is about the same as a new AAA single-player title.
What can I do to prepare for the expansion? The most important thing is, according to Lane, that you have fun with the game. Katy Kaszynski adds that you should definitely experience the content from Brimstone Sands, the new area that came into the game at the end of 2022.
Of course, you can also prepare more intensively, such as leveling weapons or farming special materials and currencies. How best to prepare, we have summarized here:
What do you think about the changes from Rise of the Angry Earth? Is it a problem that some players are excluded from the endgame content, or is this just the typical progression for MMORPGs?

The developers of Terraria, the pixelated open-world game on Steam, sharply criticize Unity’s controversial decision to introduce installation fees and subsequently donate more than 180,000 euros to the competition.
Recently, Unity announced a controversial policy called Unity Runtime Fee, which is set to come into effect on January 1, 2024. This policy stipulates that developers of games that have more than 200,000 installations and have generated over $200,000 in revenue in the last 12 months must pay a fee of 20 cents per installation.
The developers Re-Logic of Terraria, one of the most successful games on Steam with over 900,000 reviews (97% positive), have now spoken up.
Re-Logic condemns Unity’s decision and donates more than $200,000 (equivalent to 180,000 euros) to the competition. On X, they have expressed concern about the recent developments regarding Unity.

What do the developers of Terraria say? Re-Logic not only promises to condemn the changes, but also to take action. They will donate $1,000 per month to the game engines Godot and FNA and an additional $100,000 each. Their conditions are that they continue to strive to remain good people and do everything possible to ensure that these engines remain powerful and accessible to all developers.

In their statement on X, Re-Logic expressed their concern about the loss of Unity as a leading and user-friendly game engine and described the new fee changes as predatory and sneaky.
The reckless manner in which years of trust built by Unity has been sacrificed for another way to pressure publishers, studios, and players is the saddest part. That this step was entirely unnecessary pushes things into the category of tragedy – a cautionary tale for the industry.

Although they only use Unity to a limited extent in their projects, they feel obligated to stand against the “predatory” measures.
What does Unity plan now? Unity announced on X that they have taken note of the criticism. They apologize for the confusion and fears caused by the Unity Runtime Fee. They promise to make changes.
In the coming days, more details about the changes are to be announced. It remains to be seen what specific adjustments will be made to the billing model.
On October 17, the new Season 2 is set to launch in Diablo 4. There is supposed to be a lot of new content that will be presented in detailed streams until then. However, criticism is rising on Reddit against this announcement. The main argument: Blizzard is confusing content with replayability.
While a lot of new content initially sounds great, some players remain skeptical. Reddit user MrMunday explained in a thread that, in his opinion, Blizzard is backing the wrong horse. Instead of new content, the focus should be on improving the gameplay systems.
For him, neither Diablo 2 nor Diablo 3 provided significant content. Both games relied heavily on item grind, diverse builds, and experimental elements. However, there are major gaps in the latest installment.

Diablo 4 presents new Season 2, coming this fall – Blood & Vampires
“The items and builds in Diablo 4 are so obvious that they do not invite experimentation”
What exactly is the player criticizing? In Diablo 4, everything is too obvious and simple. While this may be good for attracting casual players, it will harm the long-term experience because veterans have little to experiment with.
In comparison, he mentions Diablo 2, where it took years to develop a perfect meta. In Diablo 4, however, that has already happened in a short amount of time.
He concludes his contribution with the sentence:
They need to stop thinking about “content” and rethink their systems. They need to be revised. Adding 1,000 more items will likely not improve replayability.
How is the statement received? Over 600 upvotes and 550 comments were received on the thread on Reddit from Diablo 4. Many agree with the fundamental statement made by MrMunday or go even harder on the subject.
Megane-Senpai writes that Diablo 4 would fail on both crucial elements of the ARPG genre: replayability and the feeling of progress in levels and gear.
D4Twilly even believes that Blizzard will never get Diablo 4 back on the right track and is already waiting for the successor, Diablo 5.
However, not all players are so pessimistic. Some write that we should wait for the 4-hour livestream before making negative comments. Others believe that not only new elements will be introduced but also some revisions.
A user cleans a friend’s gaming PC for the first time after many years. And the system really needs it. In the comments, people are already joking whether his buddy lives in the desert.
In a gaming system, a large amount of dust and dirt can accumulate over time. A gamer has now shown a picture of a gaming PC. And it looks like a sandstorm has raged inside. He himself explained on reddit that the gaming system hasn’t been cleaned in 8 years.
At least the owner opened the system a few years ago to install a new graphics card. He replaced his old RX 480 with a newer RX 5700 XT. But the motherboard, CPU, and RAM have already been around for several years.

Others explain that they cannot imagine such dirt.
I don’t understand how people’s computers can get so dirty – we do have a few air filters in the house, but they are not in my office. We also have cats, and my computer is on the floor. I just cleaned it after a few years, and it was not nearly as bad.
Some explain that it could also be due to poor airflow and poorly positioned fans. Then the fans would carry the dirt into the computer, and it would stay there.
In any case, all the dirt would damage the hardware in the long run. Some are also shocked that one would let hardware get so dirty.
Dirt can cause a PC to overheat and lead to other problems
Why do computers get dirty in the first place? There are always dust and dirt particles in the air, and almost everything releases tiny particles into the air: Your skin, carpets, other electronic devices, and animals all leave their traces in the air, and this eventually settles as dust or dirt on your hardware.
Why should you clean your computer regularly? Dirt and dust clog access paths for air or your fans. This means that some components or parts cannot properly dissipate heat and heat up significantly.
The processor and graphics card then throttle performance to cope with the heat or shut down in an emergency to protect the components. Your PC will then become slower and slower.
In addition, dirty fans are significantly louder, as they have to spin much faster to adequately cool components like the CPU or the graphics card.
Ideally, you should clean your PC once a year
How often should you clean your PC? It depends on how much dirt and dust accumulate in your apartment:
In most cases, an annual cleaning is completely sufficient, as you will remove most of the dirt.
If you smoke in your room, have pets, or have many carpets laid out, a semi-annual cleaning is recommended.
Take a few minutes every few months to clean your gaming system. Because with a little care, you will have more from your hardware in the long run than if you let things get completely dirty.
With certain compressed air sprays or microfiber cloths, you can quickly get your hardware clean again. You should definitely refrain from blowing into sensitive parts with your mouth. Because saliva can get on the components. Nintendo has already warned against using blowing techniques to clean hardware. Because moisture and technology do not mix, and in the worst-case scenario, your hardware can rust.

World of Warcraft is currently in a rather strange situation. Although active players believe that Dragonflight is the best expansion in a long time and that Blizzard is doing a lot of things right, somehow the big hit seems to be missing. WoW analyst Bellular expands on these thoughts and notes:
WoW is as good as it has been for years – but what is happening is just boring.

Who is speaking? Most people probably know Bellular from his YouTube channel, where he thoroughly analyzes topics around gaming. He likes to dive into business figures and statistics, but also creates videos about theories surrounding the stories of individual games or potential WoW expansions. In one of his latest videos titled “what happened?” he poses the question: What is actually going on with WoW?
We can all feel that something is strange. […] Things are a little strange. Going by the design metrics, the narrative surrounding WoW is quite good. The team has listened to our feedback. But why does it feel weird?
Bellular explains that he has surveyed current and former players about WoW on X (formerly Twitter) – and he was not surprised by the reactions. Many of the 2,000 responses seem to suggest: “No matter what the WoW team does, many simply don’t care anymore.”

This is all the more strange because right now WoW is receiving more content in shorter intervals than ever before in the history of the MMORPG.
Bellular also notes this feeling of disinterest in his own videos. When he creates guides, such as how to gear up characters quickly, there is almost always an overwhelming response of: “Yeah, I’m not interested.”
And here’s where he sees a fundamental problem: Because an angry community does not kill a game – an apathetic community does:
People have stopped caring. And now you’ve lost the ability to reach them.
Shadowlands was the last straw for many
The reasons for this are varied, but Bellular sees primarily the two expansions “Battle for Azeroth” and “Shadowlands” as responsible.
Battle for Azeroth was a disappointment and a case of “false advertising” – the cinematic had set fans up for a story focused on the war between Horde and Alliance, centered around the dominance of either side. However, the story quickly shifted to a narrative about the Old Gods.
The Jailer was a disappointment until the end.
Shadowlands only exacerbated the problem, particularly due to insufficient storytelling. The Jailer is considered one of the worst villains of all time, and the attempt to suddenly attribute a nearly 20-year Warcraft narrative to an unknown “mastermind” responsible for almost everything did not sit well with many.
Bellular believes that most WoW fans somehow remain close to the game. Even if they do not currently have an active subscription, they still check out news about the game and are happy to come back for an expansion. However, with Shadowlands, many old fans have distanced themselves so much that they have “crossed the event horizon” – they have stopped caring about WoW and can hardly be excited about it anymore.
How can Blizzard fix this?
Bellular sees few options to revitalize WoW. However, he is sure that Blizzard has recognized the problem as well. One option could be to overhaul the old game world. Returning to the “old” Azeroth, which has now been brought up to the latest standards of technology and story, could perhaps reignite the love of many old fans.
At the same time, however, WoW must also become more tangible in its story again. It now deals with increasingly larger conflicts that often transcend into metaphysical realms. It is no longer about the struggle between Orcs and Humans or the fight between smaller races. Increasingly, larger and less tangible concepts are battling against one another: Order and Chaos, Void and Light. Everything is becoming less and less comprehensible, leading to many feeling that the story is irrelevant. Or, as Bellular puts it a bit more drastically:
Most lore is now esoteric bullshit.
One issue is that WoW has “de-mystified” many of the enigmatic elements from the past. While the Old Gods or Elementals were once mystical beings that one could not fully comprehend, almost everything about these creatures is now known – they have lost their secrets and thereby a large part of the tension that once surrounded them.
Bellular then lists some features and raises questions that Blizzard has yet to answer. Because although WoW has objectively improved with Dragonflight, it has primarily dealt with correcting the fundamentals – such as gearing, the talent system, and similar. Bellular asks:
Where are the order halls as a permanent feature?
Where is player housing as an expansion of the game?
Where is challenging solo content, like the Mage Tower from 2017?
WoW is currently in a small crisis. And only a truly convincing expansion with a great, engaging theme seems capable of ending this crisis.
The longest battle in anime history has now come to an end. In episode 1076 of One Piece, Luffy has mastered a long fight in his Gear 5 form. The fight breaks a new record with its scope.
Warning, spoilers: The article contains some spoilers about the battle between Luffy and Kaido. If you don’t want to read anything about it yet, you should read the article only from the second heading.
What kind of battle is it?
Kaido has oppressed the land of Wano for many years
Luffy and his alliance partners want to put an end to the tyranny
The battle takes place on Onigashima, Kaido’s base
Even Kaido’s child turns against him
Luffy is close to death in the fight against Kaido but then activates his Gear 5
With Gear 5, Luffy defies the laws of physics and defeats Kaido
Luffy can change his body size at will and turn his surroundings into rubber with his new ability. This allows him to grab lightning or use the ground as a trampoline. No wonder Kaido had hardly a chance against his awakened powers.
How long did the battle last? With his ultimate ability, Luffy has managed to defeat Kaido and free Wano from tyranny. He took 61 episodes to do so. Since only one episode is released per week at most, the battle lasted over a year.
With the 61 episodes that the One Piece anime needed for the battle, it catapults itself straight to the top of the longest battles in anime history.
One Piece – German Trailer for the First Season of the Live-Action Series by Netflix
Other anime battles took fewer episodes
What other long battles were there? With 61 episodes, the One Piece battle is the longest in anime history. It even surpasses the battles from Dragon Ball Z, in which sometimes Son Goku and his opponents only yelled at each other and had a brief exchange of blows.
The battle from One Piece even lasts longer than complete anime series. The battle has about as many episodes as the entire anime of Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood. For comparison, the user presents the following examples:
Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood (64 episodes)
Death Note (37 episodes)
Great Teacher Onizuka (43 episodes)
By the way: The entire “Wano” arc is also a huge chunk. The arc is divided into three parts and already includes 149 chapters in the manga. Currently, the arc consists of 184 episodes in the anime, and it is still not over.
EA Sports FC 24 has been available for download for Xbox and PC players for a few days now. Now, there are also current download details for PS5.
What does the preload bring you? Pre-order customers of the Ultimate Edition and EA Play members can play EA Sports FC 24 starting on September 22, with the full release of the game following a week later. To be able to start on time, you should download the game file in advance or at least free up enough storage space for the automatic download.
We will summarize all the information for you on when the download or preload will be available for your console or PC and what file size you need to plan for EA Sports FC 24.
EA Sports FC 24 Preload: Start time and file size
When can you download FC 24? While EA has only released new pitch notes about the start of the Web App or the exact start time of the Early Access version, players on various fan platforms have also reported about the game’s preload. Based on the posts, it can be seen when the download started for Playstation, Xbox, and PC.
In this regard, PC and Xbox owners had the advantage for the start time of the preload.
Ultimate Edition for PS5 is now available for preload
When does the download start for Playstation? Starting today, September 20, pre-order customers of the Ultimate Edition can also download the game on PS5.
When you turn on the Playstation, the preload starts automatically if you have pre-ordered. You just need to make sure you have enough free storage space for the download to go smoothly.
What size is the file of FC 24 on the Playstation? It is 5 GB larger than on Xbox and PC, amounting to 49,150 GB. This was noted by the MeinMMO editorial team during the preload of the game on PS5.
Preload for PC and Xbox has been available for a few days
When does the preload start on PC and Xbox? On reddit.com, user Xirra-die-irre reported several days ago that the preload is available via EA and Steam. Thus, PC players can already access the preload.
The same is true for Xbox. In the community forum EA Answers HQ, a user asks when the preload will be ready for Xbox Series X. After a community manager answered him with “in a few days”, the user responded again: “It (the preload, editor’s note) is already available.”
How large is the file size on PC and Xbox? Another user comments on the previously mentioned post about the preload: “Yes, 44.72 GB are to be downloaded.” When asked by another user whether he meant PS5 or PC, he replied: “PC”. (via reddit.com)
This means that the new EA Sports FC 24 is roughly the same size as its FIFA predecessor.
However, some players are experiencing issues with the download.
Problems with downloading the pre-order version in the EA App
What problems can occur during the preload? In the community help forum EA Answers HQ, there are already several posts where players have difficulty with the preload of the pre-order version. Apparently, the problems are mainly related to the purchase processing of the pre-order version in the EA App.
User L3OG8 reported in his help request (via EA Answers) that he was stuck in the preparations for the download. Additionally, in his order history, the payment for the pre-order edition is still in processing.
Under the solution suggestion, other users also report having this problem.
If you are also affected by this problem, feel free to visit the forum. Perhaps you will find a suitable solution there.
Overall, the release of EA Sports FC 24 is getting closer. After numerous ratings were recently released, EA has also announced the new legends for the game – including Franck Ribéry. An overview of the new icons in EA Sports FC 24 can be found here.

Apparently, the next Xbox console from Microsoft has been leaked. The console looks like a large, black cylinder.A new controller is also set to be revealed in 2023.
Microsoft is battling with the American Federal Trade Commission over the acquisition of Activision/Blizzard. Official documents have now surfaced, showing images and technical details of the next Xbox console.
The new console not only gets a new design but also a new controller. You can view images of the controller and the console directly at theverge.com. MeinMMO presents all the details and new information about the console and the controller.
The release plans for the next games from Microsoft have also been leaked. Included: The Elder Scrolls VI:
The new controller is expected to offer numerous new features and is set to be revealed in 2023
What is the new controller? The new Xbox controller, codenamed “Sebille,” is expected to be unveiled later this year and will offer several improved features:
A new accelerometer for gyro support is expected to be included.
It is said to support Bluetooth 5.2 and reportedly “Xbox Wireless 2.”
Additionally, there should be “precise haptic feedback” and “VCA haptics that also serve as speakers.”
Microsoft is expected to use a replaceable, rechargeable battery in its new controller.
The buttons and thumbsticks are expected to be quieter, and the thumbsticks should be replaceable.
A lot of this represents small improvements or sensible comfort features for players. However, the expected price of the controller is still unknown. Officially, the model is likely to be unveiled in 2023.
Round Xbox design with a new, immersive controller
Microsoft is reportedly planning to refresh its Xbox Series X console in 2024 with a completely new design and new features. The unannounced new console codenamed Brooklin was accidentally revealed in new FTC documents against Microsoft.
What does the new console look like? The design of the new Xbox Series X looks much rounder than that of the previous console and will be delivered without a disc drive. There are also expected to be further updates.
The new version is expected to come with 2TB of storage (instead of 1TB) and also includes a USB-C port on the front.
Inside the new Xbox Series X design, Microsoft is additionally expected to add Wi-Fi 6E support and a Bluetooth 5.2 radio.
The APU chip is expected to be reduced to 6 nm, making it even more efficient. Allegedly, 15% power savings are expected, and the power supply is expected to be smaller.
The new model emphasizes a rounded design but is still expected to stick to the color black.
Another alternative remains the Xbox Series S, which also comes without a disc drive. However, you will also have to forgo the additional performance of the X model:
Golf is apparently also a topic in WoW Classic HC. Because a streamer lost his character because of it – and a nasty dragon is thrilled.
In World of Warcraft, there are many ways to die quickly. But most of them are insignificant – at least in direct comparison to WoW Classic Hardcore. Because there, death is permanent and every character has only one life. This also means that a death can be particularly frustrating, as sometimes days and weeks of playtime are lost.
It is all the more entertaining when streamers record their deaths live – like in the example of “Guzu,” who has humorously passed away multiple times.
What happened? The streamer Gugu was leveling his Orc warrior “Guzu” and was in the Sunken Temple. It’s actually quite a relaxed dungeon – most enemies are lower level. Therefore, he was chatting quite casually with his viewers during this time. For a brief moment, he ignored the boss fight against the dragon “Weaver” to show one viewer his mousepad and hold it up to the camera.

But when he looked back at the screen, it was already too late: Weaver had knocked back the Orc, who flew across the hall – and accurately into the only hole in the middle of the room. In a moment of presence of mind, Gugu tried to open his backpack to drink a Noggenfogger Elixir, which might grant him “Slow Fall” – but that didn’t happen.
At level 52, the Orc hit the ground and died immediately. Weaver had perfectly aimed him.
Was that his first death? No. Even before the launch of the official Hardcore servers, Guzu was part of the Hardcore community and had attempted the unofficial challenge. Even then, he lost his character in a rather “stupid” way. He accidentally clicked on a Demonic Rune – and brought his Warlock from 40% health to 0%.

How does the community react: They take it all with a lot of humor and even tease a bit. Because shortly after Gugu started his next character – an Undead warrior – an Orc rides up to him and explains that he found “a cloak that he would like to give him”.

Gugu accepts the trade and then exhales heavily – because it is an Engineering parachute cloak. This could have prevented his death from falling into the hole.
Who has the damage should not worry about the mockery.

This month, Ultima Online celebrates its 26th birthday. During the beta phase of the game, there was a memorable moment that profoundly influenced the MMORPG genre. A player managed to kill Lord British.
Who is Lord British?
He is the fictional ruler of Britannia.
His creator is the developer Richard Garriott.
Lord British appears in several games of the Ultima series.
He is nearly invincible.
Players still try to kill him in every part of the series.
In the community, it became a running gag to kill Lord British in each of the Ultima games. In Ultima III: Exodus, for example, he was lured to the docks and killed by a cannonball.
Ultima VII contains an Easter egg that allows you to kill Lord British by standing under a golden tablet at the castle gate, which then crashes down on him. This incident is even a reference to a real accident that developer Garriott had, where a metal rod fell on his head and he had to go to the hospital.
Even today, there are MMORPGs that are several decades old but still have active players:

5 old MMORPGs that are still actively played
How did the death in Ultima Online happen? A month before the game’s release, there was a stress test for the servers. The beta test took place on August 9, 1997, and the game was released about a month later, on September 24, 1997.
Developer Richard Garriott was even personally on the servers, taking on the role of Lord British.
However, one of the beta testers named Rainz sneaked up as a skilled pickpocket and stole a scroll from another player, with which he could cast a fire spell. He cast a large fire area on the bridge, from which the GM seemed unimpressed.
Rainz feared that in the next moment, a lightning bolt would strike him or something heavy would fall on him. But instead, Lord British began to grunt in agony and die in the fire area.
The guards that would have punished the thief for his pickpocketing were turned off due to lags.
Due to a reset, the developer lost his “invulnerable” status and forgot to turn it back on.
Thus, even before the release of Ultima Online, it was possible to kill Lord British. This incident still reminds GMs today that they should double-check if they have the correct status.
Moreover, this event established a postulate that goes as follows:
If it exists as a living being in an MMORPG, someone, somewhere, will try to kill it.
What is Ultima Online? Ultima Online is the first game to describe itself as a “Massively Multiplayer Online Roleplaying Game.” Even today, there are still fans playing the title.
Building an outpost is an important, but especially at the beginning of the game often underestimated feature in Starfield. How to build your own outpost and set up automated processes, you will learn on MeinMMO.
Building an outpost is divided into three major steps: finding the ideal location, planning what resources are needed at the beginning, and the actual construction. The first two steps mainly focus on preparation.
We will first summarize the basics of how to establish an outpost for you. Then we will go through the three steps to finalize the construction of your outpost as ideally as possible.
To start building your outpost, you need to take out your scanner (F/ LB) and then press (R) or (X) on the Xbox controller. Next, you will determine the center and the entire area of your outpost and begin the actual construction.
You can now enter build mode at any time within the radius of your outpost using the scanner. In build mode, you will find a total of 12 different categories with craftable objects:
Extractors (for various resources)
Energy (generators and similar)
Storage
Builders (e.g. the simple fabricator)
Buildings
Manufacturing (various workbenches)
Defenses (various turrets)
Robots
Furniture
Decorations
Displays (weapon cases, helmet stands)
Others (cargo link, landing pad, and similar)
Then simply switch between the categories and select the object you want to craft and place.
With (V) or the view button on the controller, you can also switch the view in build mode. It is possible to work in first-person or bird’s eye view. Some of the selected objects can also be automatically snapped together – this is particularly helpful with housing parts.
Additionally, you can switch to “Modify Mode” with TAB (Controller: B). This allows you to move, rotate, or even delete objects. When deleting a placed object, you will receive all the resources needed for manufacturing back 1:1.
Bonus Tip: With research, you can unlock additional objects for your outpost. However, you will quickly reach a point where certain skills such as Outpost Technology or “Zoology” are needed.
If you plan to build large bases, start unlocking skills from the “Research” skill tree early, as both “Outpost Technology” and “Zoology” are at level three of the skill tree and thus require at least 8 invested skills in the category.

Starfield: 5 useful skills that you should definitely unlock at the start
Building Outposts – Step 1: Finding a Location
When considering where you want to establish your outpost, you need to ask yourself what purpose the outpost should serve.
If it will be a kind of vacation home, just choose a planet that you find beautiful. Ideally, it even has conditions where you can live comfortably, as well as a lush flora and fauna – for that vacation feeling.
If the outpost is to be used for resource extraction, diligently scan planets and look for celestial bodies with resources that you can use or sell at a high price. You can already see on the star map which resources a planet provides.
Finding the Ideal Place for Resource Extraction: At the beginning, celestial bodies that contain iron or aluminum are suitable. Both metals are needed in the construction of your outpost for many objects and structures.
At the start, however, you can only build on planets that do not have extreme conditions.
If your outpost is to farm resources as automatically as possible, a Helium-3 deposit is also helpful. For example, Kurtz, which is the moon of Jemison (New Atlantis) in the “Alpha Centauri” system. Kurtz is accessible very early in the game and contains both aluminum and Helium-3.
Now activate the resource display on the star map and land as close as possible to the intersection of aluminum and Helium-3 deposits.
Next, walk over the surface of the celestial body with your scanner and look for a spot where you can find both resources. When you place your outpost, you will already see in the upper left corner of your screen which resources are present in the area of the outpost before placing it.
Building Outposts – Step 2: Planning the Construction
Since exploring and traveling in Starfield is limited and you are reliant on fast travel, you do not want to realize during the construction of your outpost that you are missing certain resources. Otherwise, you will travel countless times between systems back and forth, gathering the necessary supplies piece by piece.
You can minimize travel by placing your outpost and then going through the individual objects. This will allow you to see how much a structure requires of a specific resource. Then you can decide which objects you want to build and note down how many amounts you need to implement your plan.
You can then specifically farm these resources or buy them from NPC traders. Here is a list of some structures that you will likely build at your outposts, along with the required resources and components:
Structures and components along with the resources needed for manufacturing at a glance:
Small Solid Container: 3x Adaptive Frame, 6x Iron, 5x Aluminum
Small Gas Storage: 5x Tungsten, 3x Adaptive Frame, 6x Copper
Small Warehouse: 3x Adaptive Frame, 5x Titanium, 6x Aluminum
Inter-system Cargo Link: 20x Iron, 12x Aluminum, 3x Reactive Measurement Device, 1x Comm Station
Note: With the “Inter-system Cargo Link” you can transport goods between two outposts in different solar systems. Therefore, you need at least two of these systems in order to use them. So plan for twice the amount of resources.
Landing Pad with Ship Builder: 18x Adaptive Frame. 30x Iron, 2x Weightless Wire, 2x Beryllium
To build the various structures, you will also need some components that you can manufacture with the industrial workbench or loot throughout the game. Here’s an overview of what you need to manufacture these components:
Building Outposts – Step 3: Establishing a Fully Automated System
Once you have found the perfect spot for your outpost and have the necessary resources for construction ready, the establishment of a fully automated mining system can begin.
Then you should build the basic structures. We assume in our example that you want to farm aluminum and Helium-3 on the moon Kurtz. Therefore, place the following structures at least once:
Fuel Generator
Extractor Helium-3
Extractor Aluminum
Small Gas Storage
Small Solid Container
If you have already unlocked larger stores or advanced apparatus, you can of course also use these.
Now you need to run a cable from your fuel generator to both the aluminum and Helium-3 extractor to power them. Approach the generator, hold E on your keyboard, and select “Cable” in the menu that opens. Instead of a generator, you can also use a solar array to store solar energy on planets with plenty of sunlight.
Next, go to your extractors, open the menu again, and click on “Output Link”. The output link transfers your harvested resources to a destination container. Connect the aluminum extractor to the “Small Solid Container” via the output link and the Helium-3 extractor to the “Small Gas Storage”.
Finally, connect the gas storage to your fuel generator via an output link. This is because the generator requires Helium-3. By connecting it to the gas storage, the generator can power the extractors without you having to manually refill Helium-3. You only need to provide Helium-3 once for initial operation.
To ensure that your automated mining system runs smoothly, you should make sure that your generator produces enough energy to power all the extractors and consumes less Helium per in-game hour than the extractors produce.
Ideally, you should build the Helium extractors first and let them run for a while before connecting the aluminum extractors to your generators. If you have already built a bed, you can also skip a few hours while sleeping and create a basic supply of Helium-3.
A functioning mining farm that may even produce significantly more valuable resources than aluminum or iron is an excellent way to quickly gather XP and earn credits in Starfield:
The YouTuber Max “HandOfBlood” Knabe (30) is known for his entertaining videos. In a video about a new horror game on Steam, he addresses a serious topic, but the fun is not neglected.
What kind of game is this? Parasocial is the latest horror game from the Japanese indie studio Chilla’s Art. Players take on the role of a female streamer who is stalked by an intrusive fan – a real nightmare scenario for many Twitch female streamers.
The game has been available on Steam since August 26 and is recommended by 95% of players. For €7.79, you can also get spooked. Additionally, you can watch HandOfBlood on YouTube as he faces the stalker. It is as entertaining as usual, but with serious undertones.

How does HandOfBlood manage that? The YouTuber takes neither the game nor himself too seriously. He portrays the role of the female streamer with a pink cat-ear headset and ironically comments on the sometimes somewhat adventurous video game logic.
At the same time, he points out the serious topic. HandOfBlood reports that the story of the game is by no means pure fiction. In fact, there have already been several such cases, as depicted in the game, also in the German influencer scene.
The YouTuber explains that such occurrences are usually not “blown out of proportion” to avoid giving the perpetrators attention.
Moreover, he gives advice to those affected on how to behave in threatening situations and warns against not going to the police out of shame.
The police of North Rhine-Westphalia offers on their website guidance for victims of stalking. In addition, there is the possibility to contact the victim support Weisser Ring e.V. besides the local police. For women, the Helpline Violence Against Women is available around the clock and free of charge at 08000 116 016.
You can watch HandOfBlood’s full video here. However, it shows the complete plot. If you want to experience the story and shocking moments of the game yourself, you should do that beforehand.

How is that received? In the comments on YouTube, viewers praise HandOfBlood for the successful mix of entertainment and educational work. A few of these reactions have been compiled here for you:
Dennis-hq8qv: “As a big brother: thank you very much, Hänno. I started the video intending to brighten up my Sunday evening, but ended up sharing this video with my little siblings and asking them to watch at least a few scenes. […]”
didgiter: “Thank you for bringing attention to this topic! Yes, it was playful, but still this is massively important. And from my own experience: it can affect men as well. […]”
Faaly: “Hänno, I think you make honest and solid content with a touch of classroom. And I personally find that really great! Please keep it up! Because I am very sure someone watching your videos can really use advice of this kind or another! […]”
Other viewers, on the other hand, simply want to sit back and enjoy the show. HandOfBlood and horror is apparently a combination that works great with the audience.
What is the deal with parasocial fans? Parasocial fans believe they have a friendly or romantic relationship with a famous person, in this case a content creator. However, this is a one-sided relationship of which the admired often remain unaware.
Not only women are affected, men can also be affected by obsessive fans and even stalking.
A player in Baldur’s Gate 3 takes out all NPCs, but suddenly replacement characters appear. MeinMMO reveals what is behind it.
Spoiler: The article contains story spoilers from Act 1. And small spoilers from Act 2.
In Baldur’s Gate 3, players have the freedom to express their creativity almost without limits and make various decisions. A YouTuber named Proxy Gate Tactician recently discovered something astonishing in this game: when a player eliminates an NPC, a replacement NPC takes its place, and even if this replacement NPC is eliminated, another one appears.
Here’s how you can reduce your carrying weight in Baldur’s Gate 3:

3 Tips to Reduce Your Carrying Weight in Baldur’s Gate 3
There are replacement NPCs for the replacement NPCs
What did the YouTuber discover? YouTuber Proxy Gate Tactician delved into the various ways to interact with the Tieflings in the Emerald Grove. Normally, you receive an invitation from the Tiefling leader to a celebration after you deal with the goblins. However, Proxy Gate Tactician chose to eliminate the Tiefling leader Zevlor.
Yet he still received the invitation. Another Tiefling named Asharak stepped in and took on Zevlor’s role. There’s even a third in the NPC replacement queue – Cerys. She usually only appears in Act 2, unless Zevlor and Asharak did not survive. She is the final replacement NPC for Zevlor.

However, the YouTuber wondered if Larian Studios might have developed other replacement characters. He opted to exclude all characters except Zevlor from his party by eliminating them. To his surprise, he found that almost all original Tieflings actually have special replacement characters.
Proxy Gate Tactican comments on this in his YouTube video:
It is truly impressive to see that Larian has even developed backup solutions for backup characters. […] One of the Tieflings even has an entertaining and unique dialogue where she asks to dance with your character.
Proxy Gate Tactican has found that Cerys does not recognize the player and mistakenly believes that Zevlor is still alive. Nonetheless, it is remarkable how many intricate mechanisms and backup options have been built into Baldur’s Gate 3. This diversity continuously brings surprises and new discoveries.
