A note on the PTR of World of Warcraft suggests that Dragonflight is already coming to an end with patch 10.2 – at least as far as major updates are concerned.
In World of Warcraft, most players are currently impatiently waiting for the next major patch 10.2: Guardians of the Dream. There, the story of Dragonflight will continue, and there will finally be a big showdown with Fyrakk, the incarnation of fire. At the same time, night elves are looking forward to finally receiving a new home if the World Tree can be preserved from the attack.
However, an item on the PTR seems to confirm what many have already feared: Patch 10.2 is likely to be the last major patch of Dragonflight.
What was found? Colleagues from wowhead found a new item on the PTR of patch 10.2, the “Dreambound Augment Rune”. This is a reusable item that, when used, increases the primary attributes (agility, intelligence, and strength) by 87 for one hour. The rune has a purchase price of 100,000 gold – twice as expensive as in Shadowlands.
The new rune will be available in patch 10.2 – for 100,000 gold.
Why does the item signify the end of Dragonflight? Looking at the last expansions of World of Warcraft, such a permanent rune has always been introduced only in the last major content patch. This was the case in Zereth Mortis (Shadowlands), as well as in the Black Empire (Battle for Azeroth) and Argus (Legion).
If Blizzard adheres to its previous plans, then patch 10.2 is the last major patch of Dragonflight – thus the last new area and also the last new raid.
However, please note that this is not guaranteed. Even though Blizzard has previously only introduced this rune in the last raid tier, this time could be different. However, looking at the history of the last expansions, it is a clear hint that Amirdrassil will be the last raid, and we can already start looking toward the next expansion afterward.
Will there be more after patch 10.2? Yes. At least the story is supposed to continue a bit. Therefore, one can assume that 10.2.3 or 10.2.5 will be released, which will at least bring new quests and perhaps a cinematic or two.
A gamer has a strange problem: His PC only starts when he places a heater next to it. But in reality, his PC won’t last much longer.
What is the problem? A gamer explains that he has a strange problem. The PC does not want to start as long as it is ice-cold. Then he gets a CPU and DRAM error on the motherboard. However, if he places a small heater next to the PC, the device boots up without any issues after a while.
The reason behind this is a faulty component that causes problems. With the heater, he can only postpone the issues and not “heal” them.

The next expansion has already been announced, the current one is approaching its final stages: The MMORPG Final Fantasy XIV is currently in a lull. However, the community is not entirely satisfied, and some streamers are speaking out.
What has happened recently in the Final Fantasy XIV community? Final Fantasy XIV reached a new peak in player numbers with the expansion Endwalker released at the end of 2021. The MMORPG enjoyed immense popularity.
Since then, the patches from 6.1 to the latest 6.5 have been released. These include more content like the 8- and 24-player raids, the new relic weapons, trials, dungeons, and story content. Currently, the game seems to be in a content drought and experiencing player flight, which is why some streamers have spoken out.
Zepla on the current status of Final Fantasy XIV
What does Zepla say? The US streamer Zepla is one of the biggest content creators in the English-speaking Final Fantasy XIV community. She published a video about a month ago expressing her disappointment with the patch content in Endwalker.
She points out the following issues:
The patch story does not match the usual quality.
“Traditional” MMORPG content is lacking. She mentions, among other things, the Eureka released with the expansion Stormblood and Shadowbringers Bozja.
The “relic weapon grind” has been reduced to a mere currency exchange, making the acquisition of the weapon less satisfying.
The Island Sanctuary has not turned out to be the cozy game section of the MMORPG as expected, but rather a management simulator.
What are Eureka and Bozja?
Eureka and Bozja are additional content in their own instances. Both pieces of content consist of several zones that have been slowly introduced over the various patches. In these, players face hundreds of enemies, special events, and even challenging 48-player raids alone or in groups. The zones have a story based on the main narrative, are part of the relic grind of their respective expansions, and can be used to level up jobs.
For Zepla, these reasons are responsible for fewer players logging in. She sees it as a vicious circle: those who used to come back repeatedly during the patches now stop playing much earlier due to the lack of content. When they return, they find an empty game and log out again.
The Island Sanctuary is your own island that you need to build and manage. You can visit your friends’ islands, but there is no reason to do so within the game.
What do other Final Fantasy XIV streamers think about this? Besides Zepla, other streamers and YouTubers have also spoken out.
Xenosys Vex, a self-proclaimed long-time Final Fantasy XIV player, addresses similar points in his own video. According to Xenosys, players are simply bored, which he attributes to the lack of current, Bozja-like content.

There is also discussion about the patch content on Reddit. Recently, a discussion in the subreddit “ffxivdiscussion” started about many long-term friends who have drifted apart during the patches – for some of the reasons mentioned by Zepla.
In the discussion, many see the problem also with the new feature of visiting other data centers. Many active players are now concentrating in certain data centers. However, the absence of group content for players who do not raid or at least do not play the high-end raids is also criticized here.
What is the real state of Final Fantasy XIV?
What do the player numbers say? Square Enix usually only publishes the current number of registered players. Whether these are also actively playing at the moment is not known. Steam charts can also be referred to determine the player count, but they only consider Steam players.
A more comprehensive insight is provided by the Japanese blogger LuckyBancho. He uses officially available numbers from the Final Fantasy XIV support page Lodestone and tracks the number of people who achieve expansion and patch achievement titles. According to this, player fluctuation up to patch 6.4 looks as follows:
Player numbers drop slightly between expansions. So, that fewer players are currently participating is normal in terms of the lifecycle of the DLC. The fact that more players did not return in Endwalker than before can be due to the fact that more players were playing at the peak – but also because patch 6.1 starts a completely new story.
What about the content? Here, the streamers seem to have hit a nerve. Square Enix did publish again a three-part series of 8- and 24-player raids and also the high-end content Dragonsong’s Reprise at the beginning of the expansion. However, the latter actually still belonged to Shadowbringers.
The current 24-player raid revolves around the formerly mysterious god world of Final Fantasy XIV. Otherwise, it is a classic raid following a tried-and-true model.
Group content like Eureka and Bozja seems to be sorely missed by players. There, one could have a lot of fun quickly with friends or even just random new acquaintances. Due to the community connection with the relic weapons and the high-end raid for 48 players, all players had reasons to log in regularly.
What’s next for Final Fantasy XIV? In fact, the developers have already announced some of the “missing” and still desired features for the upcoming expansion Dawntrail. In an interview with the Japanese magazine Famitsu, the development of a Eureka/Bozja-like content has already been confirmed.
There is currently no known reaction from the developers regarding community requests for the relic weapons.

While many players in Baldur’s Gate 3 generally rely on their combat skills and spells to carve their way through the adventure, there is also another way – the power of words. With a high charisma score, especially when playing as a bard, you can literally talk tough opponents to death with your words.
A player named legomanicc89 reports on Reddit about his experiences in the second act of the game. In his first playthrough, the player created a wizard and talked to almost everyone he met in Faerûn. Yet, almost every encounter with a boss led to a fight.
In the second act of the game, he achieved impressive successes with this. He convinced the customs officer (the golden woman) that she does not have to collect customs anymore. Then, according to legomanicc89, she simply fell over dead. But this was only the beginning of his persuasive escapades.
The highlight of his journey was also the conversation with the creepy surgeon. He actually convinced the doctor to undergo a brain operation with the bard.
He also visited a tavern and pretended to drink with the bartender while telling him stories of his adventures. This led to the bartender literally exploding – a bizarre yet entertaining result.

Which classes also have high charisma? The classes wizard, sorcerer, and paladin are also based on charisma and are suitable for outsmarting certain bosses with rhetoric – without fighting.

Lords of the Fallen: What Changes in 2023
What changes from the predecessor? Lords of the Fallen 2023 takes a different approach than its predecessor. Back then, you could only play the protagonist “Harkyn” and shape your hero from a much smaller selection of classes. This is supposed to change in 2023 with the new installment, as you will have a much larger selection of classes.
Additionally, you can shape your own hero and are no longer bound to a fixed main character. You alone decide how you look and what combat style you want to pursue. What to expect in the new season: The fifth season starts on October 18, 2023, and not only brings a new battle pass and new content but, as the trailer suggests, also a quality improvement that might turn things around for Halo Infinite.

Halo Infinite Season 5 Trailer
With the new season, two new arena maps will be introduced to the game. The first map is named Forbidden and focuses on close and mid-range combat. The second map is named Prisma and offers you, in contrast, the possibility for good sniper and long-range combat.
You will also get a new mode that should be familiar to players of Halo 4. Season 5 brings back the popular mode Extraction as PvP. Whether this mode is limited to the two new maps or will be playable on all maps remains unclear.
Firefight: King of the Hill is another exciting addition. This is a new PvE option that aims to enhance the cooperative gameplay experience.

From what depth does automatic team pressing kick in? Stylo explains in his tactics video that the team pressing, which is so strong this year, automatically starts at a depth of “45”. In previous FIFA editions, you had to activate team pressing through a separate setting.
This setting still exists, but given the already activated pressing, it becomes hardly relevant from a certain depth.

Automatic OP team pressing: Here’s what you can do against it
This is the best playstyle to free yourself from pressing: In EA FC 24, there is a specific playstyle that is perfectly suited to get out of the grips of attacking players. The playstyle “Anchor” (translated as press proven) gives your players very tight and agile dribbling that can be perfectly utilized to create the necessary space under pressure, with little room to maneuver.
Players like Jack Grealish from Manchester City even have this playstyle as a “+Version” in gold.
What else can I do to escape from the opponent’s pressing? Two simple tips can also be helpful:
Avoid playing into the opponent’s pressing. This means that if you see your players being aggressively pressed, do not hesitate to take the path back through a defender or the goalkeeper. This gives your congested player the necessary time to get free again.
Incorporate long balls into your build-up play. When nothing else works, you should just launch the ball forward. Ideally, your forward wins the header duel; in the worst case, you can press back in case of a loss of possession and turn the tide.
If you keep these tips in mind and set up a player or two with the Anchor playstyle, it should be noticeably easier for you to resist the new OP meta in EA FC 24.
Pax Dei is a new sandbox MMORPG that mixes a bit of the original idea of New World with the freedoms of old classics like Ultima Online. Especially the housing in the open world made a strong impression. Now the developers shared some new information around the game in their Discord.

In these provinces, there will be materials that you cannot find elsewhere. The developers emphasize, however, that unique does not necessarily mean that the best materials are there.
So, if you want to avoid PvP, you cannot enter these zones. On the other hand, if you want to compete with others, you should know that you can lose your equipment.
What happens at death? In a PvE scenario, your entire inventory along with your equipment will lie at the corpse when you die. You will have to run back naked and pick everything up. This is supposed to be a small punishment for careless actions.
In PvP, however, this is extended. Other players (friends and enemies) can pick up some of your equipment that you lost upon death. How much exactly was not revealed by the developers so far.
Additionally, the equipment items will lose durability over time and can even be destroyed, necessitating them to be built anew. Particularly strong items are supposed to take damage especially quickly. More durability will be lost through a death.

What else do we know about the MMORPG? In Pax Dei, cooperation between players is supposed to be in focus. You can connect the spot you claim in the open world for your house with those of other players.
In the game, a lot revolves around gathering resources and crafting. Because the monsters in the world do not drop armor and weapons.
Moreover, the MMORPG uses a zoom feature that allows you to focus on decorations, equipment, but also elements in the open world. Even small engravings on worn equipment will become visible, which is supposed to play a role in the lore. In a preview we participated in from MeinMMO, we were shown a mushroom that simply grows on the ground and can be collected.
It is being developed in Unreal Engine 5, which leads to really nice graphics.
When will the MMORPG be released? There is still no exact release date. However, the developers announced the first public test. It is supposed to start this year and without NDA. You can register for it on the official website.
It is supposed to first be released on Steam for PC. Later, however, a cloud MMORPG is planned. This is supposed to enable it to be played on consoles or smartphones.

What kind of game is this? The MMO takes place in the universe of Dune: The Desert Planet, one of the most successful sci-fi stories. You should also be able to meet well-known characters from the books and films.
You start in the middle of a barren desert, where you fight for survival. You need to gather resources to build a base and, of course, collect water so you don’t die of thirst. But Dune: Awakening wants to take it a few steps further:
You don’t play alone, but with thousands of other players. Social interactions are supposed to be one of the core features. However, there will also be a lot of PvP.
In massive battles, not only special melee techniques come into play, but also huge tanks and air units.
There will be NPC factions that you can influence with your self-founded guild.
The world of Arrakis is supposed to be completely open and free of loading screens.
In addition to food intake, there will be other survival factors, including sandstorms and sandworms. The temperature in the world is also supposed to play a role.
With the drug “Spice,” you will become stronger and develop your abilities.
There is supposed to be a detailed character editor.
Crafting will play an important role. You are supposed to be able to create weapons, attachments, modifications, and armor yourself.
There is no concrete statement about the monetization model yet.
Dune: Awakening doesn’t want to be a sci-fi version of Conan Exiles
How exactly does the gameplay work? At the beginning, you create a character with which you then explore the game world in the third-person perspective. In this world, you search for water, which is essential for survival. You cannot starve, but you can die of thirst. Food, on the other hand, is supposed to support you with buffs.
The game world of Arrakis is dominated by a large, barren desert. However, there should be plenty to explore, including deep canyons, caves, underground oases, and wandering dunes. You will constantly encounter other players, but also other dangers like bandits or huge sandworms. The latter are attracted by vibrations in the ground, so you should choose your steps wisely. By the way, riding sandworms will likely only be possible after the release (via GameStar).
Your primary goal in the game is to stockpile Spice and either consume it yourself or sell it to NPC houses in the game, thus influencing the economy.
Protect – You stock up on Spice reserves, which you protect from enemies
Expand – You create a clan, increase your influence, and rise to power
Control – You influence the economy and create your own economic cycles in your base
Bylos also makes it clear: At least in the endgame, you will need other players and a guild to fully enjoy the package.
What is the deal with Spice? The drug plays an important role in Dune: Awakening, not only from an economic perspective. You will have to consume Spice yourself to maintain a certain level. Only then will you be able to learn new skills and maintain your maximum health points.
However, you should not die if you consume too little Spice.
What do we know about classes, weapons, and the combat system? In Dune: Awakening, there will be no fixed classes. However, you can adopt different play styles, such as as a melee fighter with superhuman powers or as a ranged fighter with firearms. You will learn different skills and be able to improve them through frequent use.
To craft special weapons, you will need to find schematics for them. Some are said to be very rare. Whoever wants to craft this weapon must sometimes go to another player who possesses the recipe. This is intended to strengthen interaction.
Crafting is supposed to depend less on tech trees than it does in Conan Exiles.
In larger battles, tanks or flying units like the ornithopters will also come into play.
