Lords of the Fallen: What Changes in 2023
What changes from the predecessor? Lords of the Fallen 2023 takes a different approach than its predecessor. Back then, you could only play the protagonist “Harkyn” and shape your hero from a much smaller selection of classes. This is supposed to change in 2023 with the new installment, as you will have a much larger selection of classes.
Additionally, you can shape your own hero and are no longer bound to a fixed main character. You alone decide how you look and what combat style you want to pursue. On top of that, the feel of combat has changed. While everything felt slow and sluggish in 2014, you will fight more agile, faster, and more dynamically in the new Lords of the Fallen.
Many weapons and armors are supposed to support you on your journeys, and if something goes wrong, the world of the dead, Umbral, helps you get back on your feet and continue fighting.
Lords of the Fallen: All Classes at a Glance
How many classes are there? There are a total of 10 classes. The following are known:
- Dark Crusader
- A class designed for aggressive combat
- Holy Knight
- A class with sword and shield. Perfect for melee fighters
- Udirangr Warwolf
- A class that resembles a barbarian
- Partisan
- A class that fits the role of a hybrid. You can fight in both close and ranged combat.
- Mournstead Infantry
- A class for those who want to fight with a spear and heavy armor
- Blackfeather Ranger
- A versatile class with a bow and an axe.
- Banished Slayer
- A strong class that swiftly cuts through its enemies with dual blades
- Preacher Orius’
- A cleric with a powerful steel hammer and miracles
- Fire Cultist
- A class that harnesses pyromancy
- Damned
- A class that can be played as a beggar like in Dark Souls
Important notes about the classes: The developers themselves report a total of 13 classes that players can choose from, while 4 of them are secret. How to unlock these secret classes is still unknown. One of these classes is the dark crusader. (via x.com)
Are classes important in Lords of the Fallen? Not necessarily. At the beginning, your class defines you, as depending on which one you choose, you get certain weapons and armors. However, by the middle and end of the game, that doesn’t matter as you can rebuild your class so that you can use any weapon and armor as well as cast or use spells.
