Today is a big day for me, and I wanted to share the news with all of you. I am saying goodbye to my beloved Blizzard Entertainment, and today will be my last day. Most kids I know move out of the house at 18 (well, maybe not nowadays). It took me almost twice as long! That is both inspiring and intimidating.
Blizzard was never just a job for me. I joined the company in 1991, and it immediately became my second home. I found out that I have a family I didn’t even know I had! I grew up there. I learned almost everything I know about art there. I learned how to use a computer (I only knew Atari 2600 and Nintendo), I learned how to use Photoshop, I learned how to create a user interface and make thousands of buttons. I learned how to create 3D models of my art, how to texture and animate them, and even how to make them shoot fireballs or lasers. I could see my art come to life! Damn, I even joined my first band at Blizzard. And on top of that, I had the privilege of working on some of the greatest games this good old world has ever seen. Thank you, Blizzard, for everything.

What is the deal with the support class? For the first time, a class received a completely new specialization during an ongoing expansion of World of Warcraft. The Evoker was equipped with the Augmentation specialization, which focuses on enhancing the damage, performance, and endurance of teammates.
However, the unique new playstyle caused an uproar in the community after the release of the Augmentation specialization. Since the Augmentation-Evoker itself deals little damage but enhances teammates through buffs, it appeared in the DPS meter as if it contributed very little. As a result, Evokers were kicked from groups.
Through a clever tactic, the damage of an Unholy Death Knight in a raid was increased to an impressive 13 million DPS, as it was buffed by 22 Augmentation-Evokers. This led to the boss melting in just a few seconds and significantly disrupted the balance of the MMORPG.
In Mythic+ dungeons, a powerful combination of an Augmentation Evoker, a Shadow Priest, and a Fire Mage quickly established itself – known in the community as the God Composition.

Hazzikostas also said that there are currently no immediate plans for another support class. In the future, there is a possibility that multiple classes will be playable for Dracthyr, although they are currently only available as Evokers.

Why is the campaign so bad? Industry insider Jason Schreier has authored a report on the situation for Bloomberg. He was able to speak with several developers from Sledgehammer Games who expressed their dissatisfaction.
On the one hand, the development time was only half as long as usual. Normally, there are about three years of development for each CoD game. For CoD MW 3, there were only 1.5 years. The reason for this is the fact that MW 3 was conceived as a filler.
Originally, the game was supposed to be presented to the development team as an expansion for MW 2, but it only developed into a complete sequel months later. Activision denied this to Bloomberg, commenting that MW 3 had been a “premium game” from the start.
However, much worse is that crunch supposedly once again was on the agenda. Sledgehammer Games was promised during the development of CoD Vanguard that this would be the last title where they had to do overtime. But even for MW 3, night and weekend work was allegedly not uncommon.
Actually, the story was supposed to have a smaller scope and take place in Mexico, but last summer Activision allegedly decided to reboot the story.
The development team supposedly only had 16 months to create a complete campaign. Analysts believe that this misstep should not have any impact on the franchise.
However, analyst Kevin Tsao thinks that Microsoft might consider suspending the annual cycle that Call of Duty has maintained since 2005.
Another problem may have arisen in communication with Infinity Ward: The development team at Sledgehammer Games had to wait a long time for feedback and sometimes had to make unwanted changes.
