The German MMORPG Albion Online celebrated its 8th anniversary in 2025. However, this seems to be just the beginning. In a current video, the game presents a new roadmap for spring and summer 2026.
Albion Online is a free MMORPG from the studio Sandbox Interactive, based in Berlin. Since 2017, the game has been playable on PC, and since 2021 also on mobile devices. On July 17, 2025, the 8th anniversary was even celebrated. In a new YouTube video from January 21, 2026, the roadmap for spring and summer 2026 was presented.
However, before that, Realm Divided Part 2 will continue on February 23, 2026. On that day, new features for faction battles will be introduced: with the new faction standards, items must be brought to an outpost. This way, you can earn faction points.
Furthermore, the bandit raids will be revised. There will be 2 phases. In the first, there will be a major conflict across all deadly provinces, and in the second phase, it will be reduced to two deadly provinces.

What’s next for Albion Online in 2026? The next content update is scheduled for April. With the spring update, there will be a visual overhaul of the open world. Game Director Moritz Bokelmann talks about making the world more atmospheric and also more readable.
With the armory, a new tool will be introduced, and PvP enthusiasts can look forward to a new 1-v-1 arena. As part of the update, there will also be adjustments to performance.
