The new MMORPG Never Wither combines a crazy class system with interesting power fantasy as well as survival and PvP. The developers want to let you experience how it all comes together soon on Steam.
What kind of MMORPG is this? Never Wither is a new MMORPG from developer Geo Seed Games and publisher Luckycalf that thinks about its characters differently than traditional representatives of the genre.
Instead of playing a warrior, archer, or mage, you play as monsters and can transform into a new creature each time you defeat and capture it. You are basically a Pokémon trainer and Pokémon at the same time. While you start as a weakling, you will face increasingly bigger dangers until you finally have to take on the strongest raid bosses.
In addition to collecting monsters and being a monster, there is another element that you may already know from Palworld.

Survival and Base Building
How does it work? The developers also take a special approach to the minor aspects of the MMORPG. You can build your own temples where the creatures you have captured work and produce resources.
In base building, you not only get to express your creativity but also establish real production chains. Your resources need to be farmed, processed, transported, and stored. All tasks for your companions managing the temple.
Over time, your temple develops into a complete facility from which you will ultimately participate in the endgame.

What does the endgame look like? Although the first trailers and gameplay already show boss fights with multiple players participating as DD, tank, and support, the developers state that the PvP gameplay around clans is more crucial.
From your temple, you can create your own clans or join existing communities. Here you team up with other players to fight for the dominance of various territories that could further expand your prosperity.
In the process, you will continue fighting as a creature alongside others against other players in large battles for territories and rewards.
If you are not up for so much action, you should be able to create your own servers at release that are only for your acquaintances. There you can play the MMORPG however you like, like Palworld or Valheim.
The playtest for Never Wither starts on May 29, 2026, on Steam and runs until June 2, 2026. How long it will be until the full release after the test, and how the MMORPG will be monetized, remains unclear.
Never Wither wants to do many things differently than the MMORPGs before it, which is surely the right way to stand out as a new studio in the genre. Whether the concept will work and whether you can still have fun in an MMORPG without a fixed character will be shown in the playtest.
