A new MMORPG has launched on Steam called Milkcraft that looks and plays like Minecraft.
What exactly is Milkcraft? Milkcraft is a sandbox MMORPG in which you explore a vast world based on Norse mythology. You will visit places like Midgard, Alfheim, and an area called Nibelungen. Additionally, you will visit the Tree of Life, Yggdrasil, around which, according to Norse legends, all worlds exist.
As it is a sandbox game, you are free in what you can do in the game. It is possible to mine resources to create items. You build houses and, together with other players, complete settlements.
Moreover, it is also possible to explore the world. Many dangers await you, including monsters. You will explore ancient ruins, dungeons, enchanted temples, and more. There are even boss monsters.
Visually, the MMORPG is heavily inspired by Minecraft. Even the interface looks like it came from Mojang’s game. Therefore, it could be a total conversion of Minecraft.
Milkcraft is free but still controversial
What does the game cost? You can download it for free since January 22, 2021, as a free-to-play game and get started right away. The game is financed through microtransactions. You can get it directly from Steam.
How is Milkcraft received? The reviews on Steam are somewhat mixed. The reviews stand at “Mixed” with 51%. Here we summarize a few voices for you:
