Not every creeper explosion in Minecraft has to mean doom. Sometimes the creatures blow themselves up and help the player significantly …
Creepers are likely among the creatures in Minecraft that have given every player sleepless nights. No wonder, as they are known for bringing death and destruction to careless players. But sometimes creepers can also be really useful and point a player towards a lot of diamonds.
These are creepers in Minecraft: Creepers were among the first enemies ever to exist in Minecraft and have become the game’s hallmark. The large, green monsters are usually completely silent and sneak up on the player from behind or wait around corners. Only when they are very close do you hear a faint hissing before the creatures blow themselves up. In doing so, they not only blow themselves up, but also the player and all blocks in the surrounding area.
Here’s how creepers can help: In the Minecraft subreddit, there are a few examples of creepers that have (albeit unwittingly) helped players. For instance, this scene from Reddit user uwuVolv, who cleared a large area underground. Just as he was about to return to the mine, zombies and creepers spawned there. He kills the zombie, but the creeper manages to explode. However, this turns out to be quite useful:
I guess creepers are useful after all from r/Minecraft
The creeper explosion uncovered at least 4 diamonds – possibly a few more, by luck.
Have you played the “Harry Potter” RPG mod for Minecraft?
Other players have also had encounters with creepers that were more helpful, as this short clip shows.
Creepers can deceive you: You should keep your distance from seemingly “friendly” creepers. They apparently also like to fake friendly behavior, as this short video shows:
It’s a friendly creeper!!! from r/Minecraft
Have you had one of those moments where you wanted to scream in panic and then thought: “Hey … that was actually really useful. Thanks, creeper!”?
In the future, there will be even more nasty species in Minecraft that will try to kill you …
