Spider-Man conquers the cinema again thanks to Brand New Day and Tom Holland gains new, powerful abilities. But which variant of the spider is actually the most powerful? MeinMMO reveals it in the Power Ranking.
How was this list created? We looked at the most powerful variants of Spider-Man from various universes and ranked them. This includes abilities, strength, but also intelligence. We consider not only the movies, but also the comics.
The list is based on the author’s subjective opinion. If you have a different favorite for the list, feel free to write it in the comments.
Honorable Mentions
- The Spider-Man from the first trilogy (Tobey Maguire): He demonstrated immense physical strength in his films, but compared to the other variants on the list, he lacks special abilities or events that would elevate him to a higher level.
- The Spider-Man from the Insomniac games: This variant shows in both games that he is not only strong but also smart. He has taken on multiple villains several times.
- The Spider-Man of Tom Holland: After the last movie, Spider-Man: Brand New Day, he is probably the most powerful Spider-Man one could see in the cinema. He received a strength upgrade, which has yet to be seen in full action. If he shows what else he can do in the future, Tom Holland could earn a spot on this list.
- Pter Ptarker alias Spider-Rex: It’s just a T-Rex with the strength of Spider-Man. He might be physically stronger than other Spider-Men, but he lacks the tactical depth and intelligence of other variants.
- The Japanese Spider-Man: In 1978, a series about Spider-Man started in Japan. He doesn’t have particularly new or powerful abilities, but in true Power Rangers fashion, he has a giant mech that should be mentioned here.
Miles Morales (Earth-1610) – The Successor of Peter
- First appearance: 2011 in the comic Ultimate Fallout No. 4
Miles Morales is now a pretty well-known Spider-Man. He was bitten by an experimental spider that was genetically modified by Oscorp, the company of the villain Norman Osborn. After a heist, the spider ended up with his uncle, and Miles was bitten by it.
After the Peter Parker of the universe was killed in action, Miles took up the role of the hero in the Ultimate universe. Unlike Peter, Miles has other abilities up his sleeve that set him apart from the classic crawler.
Miles can not only summon all the spider powers but can also generate and shoot electricity. With this electricity, he can amplify his punches. In more recent comics, Miles Morales also showed the ability to generate electric swords that he can use in combat.
While Miles usually does not have the same physical strength as Peter, he is also younger and less experienced. His potential promises great things.
