In Path of Exile 2, everyone pursues the same goal – to become more powerful and collect a lot of currency. This can be very tedious and time-consuming. However, for a certain exile, it no longer matters, because a divine drop made him a millionaire in seconds.
What drop are we talking about? The infamous Mirror of Kalandra. Anyone who finds this once in a league is set for life. In Ange, you can currently exchange it for 4,200 Divine Orbs in the season “Runes of Aldur” – with that, you can create any dream build with the best items of the meta.
Individual drops from enemies in a league are indeed possible, but what is currently leaving many players speechless is the stroke of luck of an exile that is considered so unlikely that a majority of fans think it’s fake. The Reddit user Aggravating-Net2046 shows in a screenshot (source: reddit.com) that he received not one, but 5 Mirrors of Kalandra.
According to him, he opened a chest during an expedition that dropped a random currency in a 5-pack. Instead of a useless resource, he hit the jackpot and got 5 mirrors as a gift. Fans are going wild.
Drop seems so unbelievable yet realistic
What do players say about the luck of the affected exile? They can hardly believe the luck of Aggravating-Net2046. Although PoE2 has not been playable for many years yet, fans still compare it to PoE1. Some players have been playing the hack & slash for several years, and during this time, they have not even been able to obtain a mirror – yet the rarity of the resource remains the same.
Some insist on seeing a video as proof because the lucky one could have simply pulled the mirrors from his stash and placed them down. Others demand a screenshot of the looter’s ring. With this, it can be seen which resources the exile has accumulated during his time in the league. Only currencies that have not been picked up before and have spawned through RNG in the open world are counted.
Official data on the probability of such a drop does not exist, but fans have gathered and calculated based on older drops (source: reddit.com) when you can expect a mirror. On average, you would have to slay up to 26,000,000 monsters to receive a mirror in this way. In comparison, it is more likely that you would hit six correct numbers in the lottery without a super number (1: 15,537,573).
Whether this was an actual drop or a fake cannot be said for sure, but as the Reddit user Accomplished-Half602 aptly puts it, when you see something like that, you’ve had “enough internet for today”.
