The survival hit Palworld is once again climbing the Steam charts with the release of its full version – and rightly so, judging by the previous reviews.
On July 10, 2026, Palworld exited Early Access and released version 1.0 of the survival game. 2.5 years after the impressive launch with record numbers on Steam, the “Pokémon with guns” is once again among the most played games on Valve’s gaming platform.
Just a few hours after the release of Palworld 1.0, over 200,000 players were online on Steam, and the numbers continued to rise. By the afternoon, the game was nearing half a million: over 495,000 players gathered on the servers.
On the morning of July 11, the survival hit has now (again) surpassed 500,000. At the time of writing, there are currently 517,000 players online on Steam (as of July 11, 2026, 11:25 AM).
Palworld 1.0 is being celebrated and downloaded thousands of times
This is what the community says: The 1.0 version of Palworld is very well received by most players. Since the release of the update, over Steam has seen more than 2,400 user reviews, of which 93% rate the game positively.
A player who played before the release of the full version writes, for example: “They have reworked the entire game. It is much more fun, progress is smoother, and there is a completely new level.” A new player, on the other hand, judges: “I just started with the 1.0 release. Is the game good? Let’s put it this way: I was up until six, even though I have to take care of kids. So yes.”
However, some reviews also show that even with the 1.0 version, not everything is perfect now. One review says: “The 1.0 update is a step in the right direction, but it feels like the endgame is still lacking depth. Nevertheless, it’s fun for the money!”
Are there any negative voices? Yes, but very few. One negative review criticizes the “empty” open world and base building. For the player, not much has changed since Early Access. Other players are dissatisfied with performance, and one even reports new crashes.
