When it comes to building your houses, fans of Hytale compare the crafting to that of Minecraft – unfortunately, there are significant differences between both titles and when it comes to building glass, players face a problem. We will show you how to get this resource.
How do I craft glass? Glass in the sense of traditional glass blocks cannot currently be crafted. In Minecraft, this worked by throwing a sand block into the furnace and melting it. This also works in Hytale, but instead of a glass block, you get the item “Empty Potion Bottle”.
Glass panes, on the other hand, can be crafted, but not at the furnace. Instead, you need to visit the “Builder’s Workbench”. Once there, you place a log in the crafting window and can then select the item “Simple Wooden Window” from the buildable options.
You can use these windows when building your house to make it look more realistic. Additionally, you can see through them, just like with realistic windows. If you are disappointed now, we can at least provide some comfort, as there is still a way to get glass, but this method is not official.
How do I unofficially get glass panes in Hytale? The positive aspect of Hytale is its cooperation with the mod platform “CurseForge”. This allows players to more easily install and activate mods for Hytale. We have explained how to do this in our separate guide.
Now search on the official site (source: curseforge.com) or the CurseForge launcher for “Glass” and choose one of the available glass mods. Install it, activate it and benefit from the new resource in the game.
Will glass be implemented in a future update? Unfortunately, nothing is known about that yet. Hytale was released in Early Access. This means the game is not yet in its release state and requires many months and years to reach that point. Until then, there will be many updates that will implement new content. At least we know, that you will eventually be able to tame animals in the future, just not yet.
