Rhaenyra continues to be challenged by Ormund, and not only through the hostage situation in the Stumble City. Also in King’s Landing, the High Tower is up to its machinations and takes care of Daemon’s Gold Cloaks.
This puts Rhaenyra in a precarious position, as the simplest solution would make her a tyrant. Aside from this, a controversial character meets a definitive end.

The Death of a Controversial Character
Which character dies? The episode starts with a real shock. Kriston and his few remaining troops encounter a battlefield full of dead River Men. But as it turns out, that was just a trap.
Kraft is suddenly surrounded by an army of Starks and River Men. He challenges the two leaders to a fight, but is simply killed by a female archer.
What about Rhaenyra? There is still no peace in King’s Landing and the inhabitants are getting nervous. Alicent and Helaena are found within the castle walls and Rhaenyra, who learns of Helaena’s pregnancy, has no choice but to reinforce the guards.
But that is only the smallest problem for the queen. Stumble City is a humiliation and Daemon wants to solve the problem with dragons. An approach that Rhaenyra rejects, as many people would have to die.
So Rhaenyra tries it with assassins. Upon arriving at Daeron and Ormund, they are stopped by Gawan High Tower, who is now in Stumble City.
The situation in the city is also worsening. Daemon’s Gold Cloaks are abandoning their tasks and he tries to investigate himself. Although he finds an assassin, he learns nothing more from him than that Rhaenyra has many enemies in the city. Shortly thereafter, he also humiliates Ulf.
Another dragon seed, Hugo, is also not doing well. He secretly meets his wife in Stumble City again, but she completely rejects him after everything she has experienced.
To strengthen her power in King’s Landing, Alyn is to ask his father Corlys for troops. Corlys reveals to his son that Tyland Lannister is still alive.
Rhaenyra’s Enemies Grow Stronger
How are Baela, Aegon, and Aemond? Baela sees her sister’s dragon in the Vale of Arryn and wants to see it, but that is not so easy. Jeyne Arryn admonishes her for her appearance and threatens her should she show herself in public again.
While Aegon wants to flee to Essos with Tyland and Larys, Aemond is healthy enough to take action. Just before his journey, he is delighted by Alys Rivers with 5 dragon eggs. She wants to become the Lady of the Water
and make Aemond the Dragonlord

At the end of the episode, Rhaenyra learns from Alicent that Vhagar is not with Aemond at all. She pursues the plan to send Alicent to him. Alicent does not like this at all, especially since she has to leave Helaena alone with Rhaenyra.
In the end, Rhaenyra receives a threat from Ormund and we see how Corlys is attacked by his troops. Whether he survives or is just captured is unclear.
