A solo developer worked for seven years on his game Heavydelic, which is now in Early Access on Steam. Now there are two reviews and they find the game terrible.
What kind of game is that? The game Heavydelic is a platformer that went into Early Access on Steam on June 23, 2026. There is a free demo, but also a purchase version for €4.50. The game is a hand-drawn 2D platformer developed by a single developer over seven years.
The creator does not aim for a full release before February 3, 2030. Until then, Heavydelic is expected to be updated and provided with new content. Currently, there are up to five minutes of gameplay. The final version is supposed to include a total of 15 levels.
Since the release, the platformer has already collected two reviews, both negative. The excellent art style is praised, but the first review directly mentions four minutes of terrible gameplay

What do the reviews criticize? Overall, Heavydelic has received two reviews so far. The first of the two clearly criticizes several points in the game and mentions the four terrible minutes. Specifically, many features like controller support or a save button are missing. Additionally, there is not enough content, the animations do not work cleanly, and some button mappings are not well-developed.
The second review has very similar criticisms, just expressed in a bit more detail. The reviewer also especially criticizes that there are no concrete requirements for early access games on Steam. From his perspective, the 25 seconds of gameplay he experienced is not a real game.
Both reviewers are absolutely enthusiastic about the art style of the game.
