There was a leak that revealed an announcement and the trailer date for the highly anticipated GTA 6. A community manager from Halo has now expressed his frustration about the leaks surrounding the game.
In a report by Bloomberg published on November 8, 2023, renowned gaming journalist Jason Schreier stated that an announcement for GTA 6 would occur this week and revealed when fans could expect a trailer.
This information came from “sources familiar with Rockstar’s plans,” according to him. Shortly thereafter, the leak was confirmed, and there was an official statement from Rockstar Games that the trailer would indeed be released in early December.
“Don’t be that person”
On X.com (formerly Twitter), John Junyszek, the community manager of 343 Industries (the development studio of Halo), posted about the GTA 6 leak on November 8, 2023. In this, he expressed his sympathy towards the Rockstar employees but was mainly upset with those responsible for the leak.
He wrote that the people unauthorized to speak publicly about the project chose to “undermine the years of hard work of their colleagues.”
One should not be that person if one is already fortunate enough to work on such a large game that captivates millions of people.
Junyszek further elaborated:
You and your teammates have dreamed of this moment since day one. Now that it is almost finished, entire teams have begun planning to make this reveal something truly memorable for the fans, the studio, and the entire gaming community.
And then, just before the announcement, someone ruins everything and robs millions of fans (and the team you have worked with on the development) of the reveal they deserve.

Instead of a surprise, the announcement is now just an expectation. “And all because of one single person. Don’t be that person. Please let cool moments just be cool moments.”
In the end, Junyszek added that the post referred to the rumors and leaks of GTA 6. He concluded with his sympathy, writing: “I feel sorry for the folks at Rockstar who have worked so hard for this moment. They and their fans deserve better.”
