The fantasy MMORPG Guild Wars 2 aims to change the Personal Story, allowing solo players to also defeat the villain Zhaitan.
For many, the “Personal Story” was the motivation that guided them through the world of Guild Wars 2. A clear red thread accompanied the hero from humble beginnings to the end battle at level 80. It told the story of the world, gave the hero a fate, character, and motivation, set the world in motion, breathed life into it, making it vibrant.
However, not everyone had the chance to complete the story: While a large part could be managed as a solo player, the final steps required a group or at least a strong ally. This is what Guild Wars 2 aims to change: the final steps should also be conquerable by a solo player.
With an upcoming patch, the Personal Story will also be redesigned in chapters 7 and 8. There was quite a bit of chaos with the September patch 2014. As things revert to how they were before, it may happen that players “miss parts” of this story.
Anyone currently stuck in chapters 7 and 8 who wants to fully experience them should perhaps hurry. ArenaNet mentions that these players have at least 8 weeks left, without the announced re-changes to complete the Personal Story. After that, there is no guarantee for anything.
