Who GTA 6 wants to buy has the choice between two editions, and these have significant differences in price and content. Which one is worth it for you, we will show you here.
What editions are available? Overall, GTA 6 comes with two editions:
- The Standard Edition for 79.99 €
- The Ultimate Edition 99.99 €
Apart from the price difference, there are also content differences between both editions, because as usual, the Ultimate Edition offers a large amount of extras for the extra money that are meant to enhance your gaming experience. We will now go into detail in our overview, showing you in a comparison what you can expect and for whom each edition is suitable.

For 20 € more, you thus receive a large amount of exclusive content, including not only cosmetic items but also missions and features such as gang territory or assignments from Wyman and his vehicles.
Who is the Standard Edition worth for? The Standard Edition offers minimum without extras. So if you just want to play through the story once and focus more on the possible online mode, you should save the 20 € and go for the Standard Edition.
Who is the Ultimate Edition worth for? If you are a real GTA fan, possibly even from the early days, and have also spent hundreds of hours in the story mode in the past, then you should opt for the Ultimate Edition. This fully expands your gaming experience and offers you several cosmetic items, vehicles, weapons, and missions in addition to the base game.
The biggest factor is probably that various exclusive shops for customizing your gaming experience are hidden. If such things are important to you, you should also spend the extra 20 €.
Will there also be cosmetic options in the Standard Edition? This cannot be assessed exactly yet. Basically, many of the bonuses from the Ultimate Edition are optional extras that you do not need to complete the story. A new beard for Jason or a dress for Lucia will not provide you with extra cutscenes.
Nevertheless, the world feels much more immersive when you can customize your protagonist – in GTA 5, it was also available for free without an additional charge. So it remains to be seen whether the listed shops are premium shops and exist alongside normal alternatives or if they are the only options to customize your characters.
