What kind of treasure hunt is this? With the Casino Heist Update, Rockstar Games brought some new content to the game. Apart from the new heist, there is the “Killer Clues” event. It’s about the mystery of a murderer, the Slasher. The killer allegedly executes his murders with a Navy Revolver.
Your task is to follow the clues on the map and find the killer and his weapon.
What are the rewards? If you successfully complete this treasure hunt, you will be rewarded with the cool Navy Revolver and about $275,000 GTA dollars in cash. For finding each clue, there is $5,000, the treasure hunt itself brings $50,000, and if you complete the challenge with the revolver at the end, you will get an additional $200,000 GTA dollars.

All locations for the Navy Revolver – The 5 clues
How does it start? First, you need to find the 5 clues hidden on the map of GTA Online. Clues 1-4 can be found at fixed locations. Clue 5 can appear in various places on the map, which we will show you all. You can just start the search; there seem to be no prerequisites.
Clue 1 – Graffiti
What is being searched for? You are looking for graffiti on a wall. It says in white lettering: “Can you find me?”
Location: You can find the house with the graffiti in Vinewood Hills. Just approach the writing and press the indicated action button to examine the clue.
Clue 2 – Severed Hand
What is being searched for? Next, you are looking for a severed hand with a piece of forearm attached. It is next to trash bags.
Location: You can find this clue at Trevor’s airfield. North of the runway, below the guard rails, the trash bags and the hand can be found.
Clue 3 – Machete
What is being searched for? This time, you are looking for the Slasher’s weapon, which gives the murderer his name. It is a bloody machete.
Location: You can find the machete at Grapeseed. The marked location on the map is a wooden barn. The bloody slasher tool is stuck in the wood on the outer wall in front of the entrance.
Clue 4 – Bloody Handprint
What is being searched for? On your list of clues, there is now a bloody handprint.
Location: You can find the hand at the door of a small building that seems to be a restroom. Travel to Paleto Bay near the game arcade, which you can unlock for free for the Casino Heist.
Go around the building marked on the map and look for the small bathroom hut.
Clue 5 – All Locations
What is being searched for? Clue 5 is the killer’s black van. It can be parked at 5 different locations and appears randomly at one of them. If it is not found at location 1, try the other spots we show you here.
You can recognize the killer’s vehicle by the open back doors, the blood, and the trash bags in the trunk.
Locations:
- Location 1 at Grapeseed – The van parks at the railway bridge on the mountainside
- Location 2 at Sandy Shores – The van parks under the highway bridge near the tracks
- Location 3 at factory – You can find the van directly behind a gray-white silo, next to which stands a red tank
- Location 4 at Lago Zancudo – Below the base in the water area, the van is parked on one of the small islands
- Location 5 at Raton Canyon – Here you need to search more carefully between the trees. Near the cliff edge that faces the water, the black van is parked.
Once you’ve found all the clues, you will shortly receive an SMS from “Unknown”.
Meeting the Killer – SMS from Slasher
What happens next: After collecting all 5 clues, you will receive an SMS from the killer. It says: “I’m fed up with your snooping! I don’t want to fool you, what happens next, you won’t like.”
Where is the location of the Slasher? The murderer wants to kill you. You will meet him in Blaine County from 7 PM to 5 AM. There is no fixed point where you will meet him. Just walk through Blaine County during these times and pay attention to your surroundings.
The meeting with the Slasher: At some point, the killer will suddenly appear next to you and rush at you with his machete. It’s best to be on foot so that he spawns. Shoot him quickly before he takes you out.
- If you manage to kill the Slasher, you will receive $50,000 and the “Navy Revolver” weapon
- If you fail to kill the Slasher, he will keep lurking until you kill him
New Challenge – 50 Kills for $200,000 GTA
What happens next: If you want, you can now undertake a challenge.
- You should achieve 50 kills with the Navy Revolver
You can achieve the 50 kills on NPCs or players. How long it takes you is up to you.
This is the reward: If you shoot 50 people with the Navy Revolver, you will receive $200,000 GTA dollars in your Maze Bank account.
