Last night, Michał Nowakowski, Co-CEO of CD PROJEKT RED, invited you in a video (see x.com) not only to the booth at gamescom but also announced a release of Witcher 4 for 2028.
Additionally, D Projekt Red Community and Social Media Manager Marcin Łukaszewski confirmed via x.com that there will definitely be more Gwent in the new DLC for Witcher 3 “Songs of the Past”. So good news for all card game fans!

Good morning everyone and welcome to our live ticker for the Opening Night Live 2026! I am Alex and together with Sophia, I will accompany the start of gamescom for you today.
We will provide you with exciting information and leaks about the ONL and gamescom throughout the day and during the event so that you are always up to date.
When the ONL starts, we will list all announcements and trailers, so you won’t miss anything if you’re unable to attend. So feel free to save the ticker or keep the tab open.
When does the Opening Night Live 2026 start? The opening of the Opening Night Live 2026 is on August 25 at 8:00 PM German time. To attend, you can either buy a ticket and travel to Cologne or tune in to a stream on Twitch or YouTube. The pre-show will begin at 7:30 PM to warm up all viewers for the program.
Are there still tickets for sale? According to the official page of gamescom, all tickets for the ONL are currently sold out.
How do I get to the ONL if I have a ticket? Gamescom states on their page that you find the entrance to the Koelnmesse, Hall 1, through the Confex on the left side of the foyer:
- Entry stamps will be distributed from 4:30 PM.
- The entry to the hall will then take place between 5:45 PM and 7:30 PM.
- Do not be late, as entry will no longer be possible after 7:30 PM.
- At 7:30 PM, the pre-show starts.
- At 8:00 PM, the ONL begins.
- At 10:00 PM, the estimated end of the show is predicted.
What games are currently known? According to gameswirtschaft.de, several titles are already known that will be featured at the ONL. You can expect the following games:
