We have searched in Forza Horizon 6 for the best drag cars and have discovered a number of vehicles that allow you to win the straight races with ease. Here are our favorites.
How did we select? This list is still a work in progress, as we do not yet have the large list of vehicles in Forza Horizon 6 and haven’t been able to test them for drag racing. Instead, we consulted in the community and looked at the leaderboards in the game to subsequently – when possible – test cars that appeared repeatedly.
With these cars, we then drove the quarter mile at the airport as well as the festival kilometer inland and attempted to reproduce the record times (if applicable with community tunings).
The best cars for drag racing in Forza Horizon 6
- Mazda MX-5 Miata FE (1994)
- Nissan GT-R Black Edition (R35) Forza Edition
Mazda MX-5 Miata FE (1994)
Strengths: Drag all-rounder (strong on short and long tracks)
The Mazda MX-5 Miata in the Forza Edition is one of the fastest cars in the game and can be found on all drag tracks in the leaderboards. While it dominates the quarter mile due to its strong acceleration and an extreme top speed of over 470 km/h, it does have to concede to the Nissan GT-R FE on the festival kilometer – but only by a mere 16 hundredths.
How exactly can you acquire the Mazda MX-5 Miata FE? We explain it to you here:
Nissan GT-R Black Edition (R35) Forza Edition
With the GT-R FE you chase records on the festival kilometer. On the longer stretch, the Nissan can best showcase its strengths. While it does appear sporadically in the leaderboards for the quarter mile, the MX-5 FE is the dominant choice there.
The normal Nissan GT-R Black Edition (R35), which you can buy for 80.000 credits at the car dealership, can also set solid times in drag races, but is significantly weaker than the powerful Forza Edition.
Toyota Sprinter Trueno GT-Apex AE86 / Toyota AE86 FE
The Toyota AE86 FE is not only a cool Easter egg for anime fans but is currently also seen as the fastest car in the game. With a top speed of over 500 km/h, it appears on several drag tracks in the leaderboards, even though the Mazda and Nissan dominate there. The Toyota 86 snatches most top placements on the half mile.
2 cheap drag alternatives for bargain hunters
If you don’t want to limit yourself to rare or expensive Forza Editions, you can get strong drag racers for little money with the following alternatives.
- Honda Beat ’91 – 15,000 CR
- Reliant Supervan ’72 – 39,000 CR
The small Honda Beat costs 15,000 CR and is one of the best cars for the quarter mile – even better than the BMW Isetta or my little pink Peel P50. The “expensive” Reliant Supervan 3 at 39,000 CR is again represented in the top 10 of the festival kilometer with a better time than the MX-5 FE. Both speedsters can be transformed into true drag monsters for around 150 000 CR – which is quite little in Forza.
One thing, however, the best racers in Forza Horizon must also accept: No matter how fast you zoom through Japan with the high-speed machines, there is one thing that will suddenly brake you to 0 km/h – and not gently: No matter how much horsepower you have in Forza Horizon 6: A certain tree cannot be destroyed
