Good morning and welcome to our live ticker for the Fortnite server down. We will soon list some leaks that data miners were able to uncover before the update release. Stay tuned to not miss anything!
What happens during the server down? The servers will be shut down. During this time you cannot play Fortnite.
When does the server down in Fortnite start? The servers will be shut down on April 1, 2026, at 10:00 AM. A short time before (about half an hour, so around 09:30 AM) matchmaking will be disabled (Source: x.com).
When can I play Fortnite again? That depends on the size of the update and the duration of the downtime. This is a larger update, so expect approximately one to three hours or more.
What do the patch notes say? There are still no official details about the upcoming patch notes. If Epic Games shares these, we will update this part.

What can I expect with the upcoming update? The leaker Shiina has already made some speculations on x.com about what could be included in the update. According to him, you could expect the following things:
- New skins
- New features for the first of April
- The start of Season 8: OG
- and much more.
It is not entirely clear whether only funny features or also free rewards will be released on the first of April. Features include large heads and carrying comrades on shoulders. It remains to be seen what Epic Games has planned.
