The Fortnite patch 3.6 arrives today, when the server maintenance is over. This is likely the last update before the 4.0 series. One expects a big bang when the comet crashes. We reveal to you what is in the patch notes for today’s update on April 24th.
Today, the likely last patch for Season 3 of Fortnite Battle Royale arrives. There are also some changes for the PVE “Save the World”. However, it is clear: This is an interim patch that does not bring huge innovations, so to speak, the calm before the storm.
The update includes several balance changes, bug fixes, and two new weapons. A new exchange promotion is also interesting, where players can give up skins and emotes that they no longer love. This applies only to Fortnite: Battle Royale.
These are the highlights of the patch notes for Fortnite Battle Royale
The new sticky grenade comes to the game. It is only available in Uncommon. The grenade has an explosion delay of 2.5 seconds and deals 100 damage within a radius of 1 tile. The grenade cannot explode in mid-air. It sticks to players and surfaces. If the building it is stuck to is destroyed, it explodes immediately.
The Remote Explosives are now 40% rarer.
However, the mini-gun has been strengthened. It is now more accurate, has less recoil, and deals slightly more damage. The mini-gun caused a hype at release and was considered too strong. Meanwhile, it is counted among the weakest weapons in Fortnite.
Sniper rifles and crossbows now have better projectile hit detection at long distances.
The accuracy of the first shot is reset when players crouch, stand up from a crouch, or switch weapons. This could affect the weapon balance in Fortnite again – the last change here shook up the balance in Fortnite quite a bit.
Self-service exchange of cosmetic items comes to Fortnite
You can now return a total of 3 V-Buck purchases and then receive your V-Bucks back. These 3 returns are valid for life – so one should think carefully about this. Emotes, gliders, harvest tools, back bling, and skins can be returned. The battle pass or individual purchases cannot be returned. Also, everything that can be purchased in PvE “Save the World” is excluded from exchange: This includes loot llamas and founder packs.

The sticky grenade is also in the game here, but it does not deal damage to player buildings. The sticky grenade is not a permanent weapon in PvE. It can be found in a mission and is lost after completing that mission.
A new “real” weapon is the Nobelwerfer, which delivers an energy charge to enemies.
There is more bacon and more energy ammunition. Bacon is needed for defenders, who can now be revived significantly faster (instead of 5 seconds it only takes 2 seconds).
The relatively difficult interim mission “Retrieve the Drone” is now supposed to become significantly more lucrative and appear less frequently.
And anomalies are significantly easier, they can now be shot from a distance, but one must collect the shards. Previously, one had to build up to the anomalies and break them with a pickaxe.

No insanely exciting Fortnite patch notes today. The big question remains: What has Epic thought of for Season 4 and what do they have in store for this comet?
