Epic Games announced a few days ago that all revenues generated through Fortnite between March 20 and April 3, 2022, will go to humanitarian aid purposes. The donations are aimed at people affected by the war in Ukraine. The Prime Minister of Ukraine has now personally thanked Epic.
What’s it about? On March 20, Chapter 3, Season 2 launched in Fortnite. Shortly after, Epic Games announced that all Fortnite revenues the company generates between March 20 and April 3, 2022, will be donated to humanitarian aid projects for people affected by the war in Ukraine.
After the donations had already reached approximately 32 million euros in the first day and 45 million euros on the second day, the Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykhailo Fedorov has now expressed his gratitude.

All details on Epic Games’ support for humanitarian aid projects
Which projects does Epic support? The developer studio specifically supports organizations that are on the ground and provide assistance through various measures. Selected organizations include DirectRelief, UNICEF, the “World Food Programme”, and “The UN Refugee Agency”.
The assistance provided by the organizations includes the provision of shelter, food, clean water, legal advice, and essential supplies. The organizations also provide health assistance.
According to Epic Games, the provision of revenues should be processed as quickly as possible. The company does not want to wait for the actual revenues to be recorded by the platform partners and payment service providers.
As a reason for the direct provision, Epic states that the accounting by platform partners and payment service providers can take time depending on the payment method. However, they want to ensure that the revenues are delivered to the aid organizations within a few days.
