Final Fantasy XIV is celebrating the arrival of a new year, the “Year of the Ram,” the year of the goat, sheep, and ram, with various in-game events.
From December 31st to January 14th, preparations are underway in Eorzea for the Year of the Sheep, one of the 12 Chinese zodiac signs. Perhaps not as well-known as the Rat and Dragon, the two Chinese poser zodiac signs, but still an important one. The year 2015 is marked by the Sheep, which tends toward romance, creativity, nostalgia, and pessimism.
The event starts in Limsa Lominsa, the questline then unlocks various rewards (especially headgear and a pet). Additionally, there are some decorative items available for purchase. From Wednesday, December 31st, to the Wednesday two weeks later, it’s going to be fluffy. The event in FF XIV is titled “Heavensturn – Rise of the Fleece of the East.” Here is more about it.
