What do I need to know about Kinah? This is the most important in-game currency in Aion 2, basically the earned in-game money with which you pay your bills. In contrast, there is also the premium currency Quna, which you buy with real money. Through the exchange market, you can trade Kinah for Quna and vice versa. However, access to the market is only granted with an active subscription.

Bound versus Unbound Kinah: NCSoft has introduced two variants of Kinah for Aion 2 to combat gold sellers and bot providers: bound and unbound Kinah.
- Bound Kinah
- You earn through gameplay, such as quests, sales to NPCs, and dungeons.
- You cannot use it to purchase items from other players in the auction house or convert it to Quna via the exchange.
- Has the highest priority for paying in-game costs like upgrades, teleports, NPC purchases, or crafting and production fees.
- Unbound Kinah
- You mainly receive it through sales on the marketplace and the exchange (only as a player with an active subscription).
- You can use it to purchase items from other players in the auction house or convert it to Quna via the exchange.
- Is only used to pay for in-game costs when you no longer possess bound Kinah.
It is very likely that you can also receive Kinah through both paths from the Battle Pass. This would likely be the bound Kinah variant.
Kinah in Aion 2: Savings Tips
In Aion 2, you earn a lot of Kinah, but you can also quickly spend a large chunk of your wealth. Therefore, especially at the beginning, it is all the more important to avoid certain cost traps:
- During the leveling phase, only upgrade your armor, weapons, and accessories in exceptional cases. Only the belt and your Revelation Amulet are worth early upgrades, as you will never exchange these. Upgrades become increasingly expensive, and with each level, the chance of failures increases. Therefore, it is always better to upgrade several items by one level each, than one piece of equipment by several levels.
- Do not buy equipment on the marketplace during the leveling phase. Instead, do the green side quests to fill any equipment gaps.
- Avoid strengthening yourself with scrolls or buff food for every simple fight. This will gradually create a hole in your Kinah wallet. Save these aids for tough boss fights.
- Fast travel can save a lot of time. But especially at the beginning, avoid unnecessary teleports that provide you with little advantage but cost Kinah.

Aion 2: Efficiently Farming Kinah While Leveling
Even on the way to level 45, you can build a nice cushion of Kinah. The savings tips mentioned earlier are just as important as the following recommendations for particularly efficient Kinah sources:
- Even though you gain most experience points through the main quest, you should not ignore the green side quests. These provide you with equipment, useful materials, and Kinah. The higher your level, the higher the Kinah amount.
- If you receive white or green equipment that you do not need, you have 2 options: a) sell to vendors or b) extract for resources. Since the material requirements for upgrades in Aion 2 are enormous, we generally recommend option B. If your focus is on Kinah, option A is better.
- If you find higher quality equipment and have an active subscription, check the marketplace to see what the parts bring in and what the materials would bring you in Kinah if you sell them after extraction instead of the item.
- Rule of thumb: sell equipment with strong value combinations directly in the auction house. Extract equipment with poor values and sell the resources.
- Complete all sealed dungeons and strongholds you come across during leveling. You need them anyway for character progression, and they reward crafting materials and Kinah.

Aion 2: Efficient Kinah Farming at Level 45
In the endgame of Aion 2, countless ways to earn Kinah are available to you. Below, we have 3 particularly efficient recommendations for you.
Recommendation 1: Farm Profitable Dungeons
Dungeons drop coveted pieces of equipment, jewelry, and crafting components. Unneeded drops bring in huge Kinah amounts when disassembled or sold on the market. Particularly recommended for farming runs are the Flame Temple, the Draupnir Cave, and the Krao Cave.
Recommendation 2: Alchemy
Endgame players consume huge amounts of potions and buff food for PvP and tough boss fights. Those who collect materials strategically and craft high-level consumables have a permanent, passive income source of Kinah through the market.
Recommendation 3: Weekly Quest Round Through All Content
You can complete a variety of different missions each week, such as for the Abyss, crafts (supply tasks), events, and dungeons. If you diligently complete these every week, high Kinah amounts will automatically flow into your bank account. Moreover, you will earn currencies that you can exchange for coveted upgrade materials. These can also be sold well.
