The magazine has been compiling the report on the most reliable vehicles for more than 10 years, analyzing millions of vehicles.
In a recently published report by iSeeCars, the 25 most reliable cars have now been presented and more than 400 million cars analyzed. And one brand, Toyota, is represented no less than 10 times.
The Japanese dominate the most reliable car brands
How are the figures compiled? The experts of the magazine have verified how likely it is that a specific vehicle will reach over 250,000 miles. Converted, that’s about 402,000 kilometers. Considering a typical value of around 12,000 kilometers of mileage per year in Germany, it would take about 33 to 34 years to reach 402,000 kilometers.
Who is the most reliable? Far ahead in first place is the Toyota Sequoia, which reaches this distance 39.1% of the time. Places 2 to 4 also go to vehicles from the Toyota brand.

When broken down by brand, models from Toyota, Lexus, Honda, and Acura have a significantly higher expected probability of reaching 250,000 miles.
What else is interesting?
- SUVs make up almost half of the total ranking of the longest-lasting cars from iSeeCars.
- Toyota leads with four commercial vehicles, followed by Lexus with three, Honda with two, and Acura and Chevrolet with one each.
- Seven sedans from four brands (Toyota, Lexus, Honda, and Acura) make them the second most important body type.
Interestingly, Toyota is once again at the top. The previous year (2024), Toyota was outranked by Subaru in another ranking as the most reliable car brand. Subaru scored points primarily due to its simple construction, which allows for relatively easy replacement and repair of parts.
