The complete Team of the Year (TOTY) has been live in Ultimate Team since Thursday, January 23 (7:00 PM). EA FC 25 offers you plenty of options to increase your chances of getting a TOTY. On MeinMMO, we give you 3 tips on how you can pile up many packs.
Why is it worth having many packs for the complete TOTY? The TOTYs are among the strongest and most expensive cards in the game and are likely to remain so for quite a while. Although they are extremely rare and difficult to pull from packs, owning just one of these cards could give you a significant advantage.
- Starting Thursday (January 23, 7:00 PM), all 22 TOTY cards will be available in packs
- From Friday (January 24, 7:00 PM), you can even expect 34 TOTYs
- +12th Man and 12th Woman
- +10 TOTY Icons from Team 1 and Team 2
Additionally, on Friday, 11 Mini-TOTYs, the Honorable Mentions, will be added to the player pool. While they may not be as strong and valuable, some could still carry a hefty price tag.

1. Tip: Complete goals and claim bonuses
The easiest way to get packs with little effort is through the goals and their bonuses. Around the TOTY period, the goals offer you numerous options to earn some strong upgrade packs.
This includes the following task groups that you find under the “Goals” tab in the Ultimate Team menu. We will briefly introduce them and give you some useful hints about each block.
- Rush Weekly Tasks: complete these tasks by collecting points in Rush
- You will earn bonus points if you fulfill certain requirements for the team build
- Make sure to meet the double points bonus in the team selection to reach rewards faster
- Live Tasks: can be easily completed in Friendly Match mode or in the menu
- Complete sets: every completed task for the respective complete set enhances the bonuses, and at the end, you even get an extra bonus
- Daily game: complete 1 game per day
- Daily registration-upgrade: complete 1 Squad Building Challenge per day that requires a bronze player
- Live Friendly Match Cup (TOTY Cup): Win 15 games to secure all rewards. You have unlimited attempts for this.
- Complete sets: every completed task for the respective complete set enhances the bonuses, and at the end, you even get an extra bonus
- Thematic Tasks: Football Summer
- Use professionals from various countries and play/win a certain number of matches with them or score goals with them in Squad Battles (at least semi-pro) or Rivals/Champions
- The thematic tasks can be well combined so that you can complete several at once: for example, 3 players from the USA, 1 Canadian, and 7 Spaniards in the starting lineup to advance 3 tasks simultaneously
The goals for the thematic task can be comfortably completed in Squad Battles, where you can reduce the difficulty level relatively low (semi-pro). Remember to collect your rewards after completing the tasks.
2. Tip: Secure weekly rewards from game modes
It is a bit longer and more tedious to obtain the rewards from the ranked game modes. However, you are rewarded with a large number of packs at once, especially in Champions (Weekend League) and Division Rivals.
- Division Rivals:
- Try to collect at least 15 points to secure the weekly bonus
- Even better would be to reach the 35-point mark to receive the bonus upgrade
- Champions:
- Access to the Weekend League has become easier with 2 wins from 5 matches in qualifying
- In the Weekend League, the goal is to achieve as many wins as possible
- Aiming for 7 wins is desirable since from this rank you receive at least 1 strong player pick
- Squad Battles:
- If you want to fulfill the thematic tasks from tip 1, this mode is the most suitable
- You can not only complete multiple tasks simultaneously, but you also earn points for the leaderboard in Squad Battles and secure better rewards with this
- As a minimum target, you should aim for the Gold 1 rank, as you will receive a pack with 2x-84+ professionals here
3. Tip: Empty the club and craft upgrade packs in SBCs
Playing is one thing, but with the so-called menu content, you can also earn plenty of packs during the TOTY period. You can use the TOTY to part ways with all the players that are just taking up space in your club.
For this, the upgrades from the SBCs are a good option, and you should complete them in the following order for the best results:
- 3x Daily Bronze Upgrade: Submit 1 Bronze professional, receive 12 Bronze professionals
- 2x Bronze Upgrade: Submit 11 Bronze professionals, receive 2 Silver professionals
- 3x Daily Silver Upgrade: Submit 1 Silver professional, receive 12 Silver professionals
- 4x Daily Gold Upgrade: Submit 11 Bronze and 11 Silver professionals, receive 11 Gold professionals
- 2-League Upgrades: Submit 8 Gold professionals, receive 4 common and 1 rare Gold professional from 2 leagues
- Focus on the English (PL & BWSL) and Spanish leagues (LL & LF), where you have the best chance of getting a TOTY: a total of 8 TOTYs from Spain and 9 TOTYs from England
- Keep 83+ professionals, submit everything below for the next upgrade
- 2-League Premium Upgrades: Submit 11 rare Gold professionals, receive 8 common and 3 rare Gold professionals from 2 leagues
- Keep 83+ professionals, submit all common Gold professionals back into the 2-League Upgrade
- Use 83 and 84 professionals for stronger upgrades
- 83+-x10 Upgrade
- 84+-x5 Upgrade
Extra Tip: How to craft upgrade packs even faster
In FC 25, you can utilize the team-building assistant in SBCs more effectively than ever. To do this, start any SBC and press your left analog stick. This will open the assistant.
Here you can adjust the key options for faster crafting in SBCs:
- Quality: set the desired player quality (Gold/Silver/Bronze) to fill your team
- With the X-/A-button, you can make more detailed quality adjustments (rare/common)
- Storage: Change your storage setting from “Club” to “All” to consider all players from your club or SBC storage
- Ignore Pos. (Position): Change the setting to “Yes” so that all players of the respective quality can be used by the assistant
- Sort. (sort by): Change the setting to OVR (overall rating): Low to high, to primarily select the worst players
Confirm your adjustments with the triangle/Y-button and let the assistant assemble your team. The assistant even saves your settings for the next SBC. You just need to start the next challenge again and call up your assistant with the left analog stick to build the team.
