Diablo Immortal gives an outlook on what is still to come in 2025 in a roadmap – including new quests, more bosses, and a new class. We summarize the most important points for you.
In a roadmap, Diablo Immortal presents its content for the current year. Each quarter, you can expect fresh content; however, not everything is revealed in detail. In December 2024, the Diablo head announced that a new class would come in 2025 – sparking speculation among fans.
What’s coming in 2025 in the “Epoch of Madness” in Diablo Immortal:
- In the 2nd quarter, you can expect an event, a new quest, new equipment, a marketplace update, and new reliquary bosses. The Reliquary (engl. “Helliquary”) is an item that opens raids in Diablo Immortal, where you can fight a special boss with 8 players every week. You can find out how the raids work here.
- Between July and September, another quest, a new zone, and a new class will be coming your way. There will also be a summer event.
- The roadmap suggests that there will also be a new quest and a new zone in the 4th quarter – but it is not clear from the graphic what exactly it entails and what else will be introduced into the game.
“Forest – either Druid or Witch Doctor”
While Diablo 4 has received a new class with the Spiritborn from the first expansion “Vessel of Hatred”, Diablo Immortal is catching up – and is already bringing the third class into the game. This gives you a total of nine different classes to choose from.
The Blood Knight was the first new class that Blizzard introduced into the game in July 2023. In May 2024, the new “Tempest” class in Diablo Immortal followed:
In December 2024, Diablo head Rod Fergusson reached out to the community. In a post on X, he reflected on the past year and simultaneously announced that players would be able to “play in a new way when a new class is introduced”.
Which class is it about? Which class will enter Diablo Immortal in the summer is still unclear. Fergusson’s post, however, has sparked speculation in the community. In the Subreddit of Diablo Immortal, some players are hoping for the Druid.
Due to the mention of a forest in the post, Exact_Acanthaceae294 speculates on the Druid or the Witch Doctor. “Diablo 4 has gotten the Druid. We already have a Witch Doctor NPC, and some of their dialogues hint at it,” he writes.
And GreenSplashh comments: “I played Diablo Immortal after Diablo 4 and thought: ‘Hey, where is the Druid?’ since that was my class in Diablo 4. I hope it will be the Druid.”
While the Diablo Immortal community speculates about the new class, current discussions in Diablo 4 focus on accessibility. For some, the difficulty level is just right – they want to simply slice monsters after work. Others find even the highest torment levels far too easy. Now Blizzard says: Diablo 4 will be so difficult with Season 8 that only 10% of you will reach the hardest challenge.
