In Season 2, training dummies will be introduced in Diablo 4 where you can test your builds – however, you will have to wait a bit, as they won’t be available right at the start of the season.
During the Campfire Chat on October 10, 2023, the developers of Diablo 4 reported on the new features that will come with the second season of the game. Many players are feeling cautiously optimistic after the announcement of the season’s contents.
In the last third of the livestream, the developers mentioned another patch that will come a bit later – including more features.
Diablo 4 gets training dummies
These features will be introduced with patch 1.2.1: With patch 1.2.1, training dummies will come to Diablo 4 where you can test your builds, various attacks, and items. Such training dummies are already known from other games, such as The Elder Scrolls Online or Final Fantasy XIV.
Especially due to the changes to the builds that the developers have planned, it makes sense to be able to test new combinations without having to run into monster mobs.
The training dummies will be found in a cellar in Kyovashad. You will have the opportunity to make changes to your gear, swap or upgrade individual items, and try them out on the spot.
In the screenshot, you can see that there are various options you can choose for your dummy:
- normal training dummy
- elite training dummy
- boss training dummy
- single training dummy
- multiple training dummies
Otherwise, the patch will introduce an option in Diablo 4 to reset the Paragon board. Currently, this is quite cumbersome and expensive when done at level 100:
You can watch the video of the developers’ Campfire Chat on YouTube. Patch 1.2.1 will be discussed starting at 1:17:29.
When is patch 1.2.1 coming? During the Campfire Chat, the developers mentioned that patch 1.2.1 is planned for the end of the month. It will not be available right at the start of the season but before BlizzCon.
Although BlizzCon is free, you can also spend quite a bit of money this year to get a little more from the event. There are new packages with “BlizzCon goodies,” which are currently causing quite a stir:
BlizzCon 2023 is free, but Blizzard would still like 50 € from you
