Destiny 2 is a multiplayer online loot shooter with MMO elements developed by Bungie. It was released on September 6, 2017, for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, and on October 24, 2017, for PC. The arrival of the Traveler ushered in a Golden Age for humanityn — but also brought many challenges. For the Traveler is followed by an ancient enemy: the Darkness. No one truly knows the relationship between the two. One thing is certain, however: these paracausal forces have been at war for a long time, a conflict that led to the first great Collapse, which nearly wiped out humanity. Afterward, the Traveler created the Guardians—and as a player, you are one of them. Made immortal by the Traveler’s Light. You collect new weapons and gear while experiencing a blend of excellent gunplay and gripping storytelling as you fight back against the enemies of humanity.Following the 2022 expansion The Witch Queen, the Guardians confront the Darkness directly for the first time in 2023’s Lightfall, facing its antagonist, The Witness. Thus begins the second collapse of humanity, and the Guardians must ask themselves: “What happens if the Darkness consumes our Light?” But even as the Light and Darkness saga nears its conclusion, Bungie promises players ongoing content for years to come, along with new ways to explore the entire universe.
