However, for hackers, it seems that the time has come early on May 11, 2026, as they have apparently already cracked Forza Horizon 6.

Too easy for the pirates
What kind of leak is this? The developers of Forza Horizon 6, Playground Games, apparently uploaded the entire game as a preload on Steam, as Insider Gaming reports. While a preload for a 155-gigabyte title seems reasonable, the preload was reportedly not encrypted.
A chance that the pirates seized immediately. Shortly after the preload, there were already initial pirate versions circulating in forums and websites that deal with game piracy.
Are the cracks credible? Yes, there are now increasing pictures and videos from players who have downloaded an illegal copy of Forza 6 and are already driving on the track.
There are even livestreams from gamers playing the cracked version in front of hundreds of viewers. While the developers are trying to contain the impact by having large posts on Reddit deleted that point to the crack, it seems that the damage is already done.
Moreover, the way in which the hackers managed to crack Forza Horizon 6 is not the first time it has been catastrophically easy. The same is said to have happened in March with the game Death Stranding 2, where the preload also landed on Steam completely unencrypted.
Whether it really was due to the lack of encryption or if the pirates found an easy way to break through it, dishonest drivers can now play while honest gamers still have to wait.
