Arenas from Pokémon GO that are located in neighborhoods understandably often attract the same trainers. However, when a couple has set their sights on another player couple, things turn into a personal vendetta.
How did this conflict arise? The trainer and Reddit user Northwesternhowl reports in a Reddit post that there is a true Pokémon GO feud in his neighborhood. There is a player couple from the yellow team Intuition that, as they describe, explicitly set out to throw him and his girlfriend out of their arenas just before midnight.
This is evidenced by the fact that the couple only focuses on the Wisdom team arenas they occupy, while leaving the red Courage team arenas completely alone.
However, he and his girlfriend did not want to let this behavior go unpunished and made it their mission to catch the yellow couple in the act.
Couple gets “a taste of their own medicine”
How did they put this plan into action? The player posted a screenshot of the game showing a successfully defended blue arena with a time of 1:15 AM. Following that is a photo of a nighttime street, where they are face to face with another car across the street.
The “opposing” couple from Team Intuition had tried for over an hour from their car to throw the player’s Heiteira out of the arena. Since just before midnight, the couple had been battling on-site, throwing golden Razz Berries, until the opposing couple gave up and drove away shortly after 1.
“I don’t know if it went too far, but our laughter almost made my pregnant girlfriend pee herself. Especially when they drove away in frustration,” writes the author of the Reddit post.
How does the community react to the story? Other Pokémon GO trainers share the couple’s well-deserved victory and retention of the arena, as well as the fun they had. However, they point out that this nighttime team switch of their arena isn’t as bad as they make it out to be.
If the arena switches teams daily, it means a regular coin income for both couples, so they should consider this feud more as a form of collaboration.
