CoD Cold War: Best Weapon of the Alpha – Pro Shows How to Dominate

The open alpha on PlayStation of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War runs this weekend. However, a few content creators and streamers were allowed to play a few weeks ago. The pro “Scump” immediately shows the best automatic weapon in the game.

The new Call of Duty: Cold War will be released on November 13 and is slowly entering the public testing phase. PlayStation players can first storm the battlefields of the Cold War on September 18 and test the 17 weapons in the game. The beta starts in early October.

To let you know which firearm hits the hardest in the open alpha, MeinMMO shows you the weapon that, according to “Call of Duty League” pro Seth “Scump” Abner, is the best in the game. A few weeks ago, there was already a preview event, and selected streamers, content creators, and CDL pros showcased the matches on their channels.

Scump is already sure: The AK-74u dominates the alpha. In his English video, he shows gameplay of a match “Kill Confirmed” on the map “Satellite” and how he secures a helicopter shooter with the AK submachine gun:

However, keep in mind: The current builds are preliminary versions of the new Call of Duty. Whether the weapon performs the same in other test versions of the game or in the full version is not entirely clear. But for the variant that Scump was able to test during the preview event, it holds: “This thing is crazy!”.

What makes the weapon so strong? He particularly highlights its versatility and range. The weapon is one of 3 submachine guns in the alpha and yet performs decently at all ranges. In his gameplay video, you can often see how Scump also hits secure shots with the AK at long distances.

The AK-74u does not lose much damage at greater distances, allowing you to score strong kills in close combat and at range.

What else should I try? If you check out some of the videos about the weapons of Cold War, you often come across a statement: Sniper rifles are awesome. So if you feel like sniping, try one of the two snipers in the alpha – you can take out enemies with just one shot. Due to the generally slightly higher time-to-kill in Cold War, the weapons are somewhat stronger than in Modern Warfare.
