Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 has introduced content that the zombie mode will receive with Season 2. Included is a feature that players wished for shortly after the release of the shooter.
What have fans been waiting for? With Season 2, the zombie mode of Black Ops 6 will finally allow players to pause during cooperative play when all players in the session are in the same party.
Until now, it has not been possible to pause in the zombie mode when playing with others. This was only possible in solo runs. Some members of the community therefore wished for a pause button to be available in the coop mode shortly after the release.
Season 2 of Black Ops 6 starts on January 28, 2025.
Why is a pause function so important? It is, of course, possible to survive many waves of zombies in coop play. A run can easily last several hours. If you want to grab a quick bite, need to use the restroom, or just need a short break from the screen, players had to help each other.
A short interruption was only possible if your friends kept a zombie alive and lured it around the map during the “pause,” so that no new round with countless enemies started or the zombie attacked the absent player. A pause for all players simultaneously was not possible.
Season 2 brings a new zombie map and more
What else is new for zombies? With the start of Season 2, Black Ops 6 Zombies will also receive a new map called “The Thomb.”
Additionally, with Season 2, it will now be possible to track up to 10 calling card and camo challenges, so you can keep better track of your progress. If you are tracking fewer than 10 challenges, you will instead see challenges that are close to completion.
