On May 20, 2026, the superhero series The Boys concluded after five seasons. Its flagship character Homelander was played by Antony Starr. While he has also appeared in other films and series such as The Covenant, Knock Knock Knock or Xena: Warrior Princess, Homelander is certainly one of his most recognized roles.
Soon he will be adding another entry to his work. Starr recently filmed the series Breakers for Netflix, which has now completed shooting. On Instagram, the actor shared photos from the wrap party and thanked everyone for a great shoot.

Netflix hasn’t revealed much more about the show’s plot yet. There is no information about the cast, with one exception: Antony Starr plays the leader Brando.
Those who have followed his previous work as an actor know: He is well-versed in portraying charismatic yet morally ambiguous characters. Who knows, maybe the surfer community turns out to be a cult with Brando as their fanatical leader? That’s just speculation, but with Starr in the prominent role, it is not inconceivable.
When does Breakers come out? There is currently no official release date for the series. However, shooting has just been completed. So, you should expect it no earlier than late 2026 or during 2027. Since the series was produced by Netflix, it will be available on the streaming service.
