The new season of Blue Protocol: Star Resonance has started and for German-speaking players, there is a new server with good ping.
What kind of server is this? At the launch of the third season of Blue Protocol: Star Resonance, the developers have started a new server in Frankfurt. This is explicitly aimed at players in Europe, allowing them to get better ping.
Previously, the only global server was in North America, which consistently resulted in high pings in Germany. However, those who have already played Blue Protocol: Star Resonance will have to start from scratch on the new server, as the developers mentioned on Discord.
At least there is a good boost for all who are starting anew or returning, so the switch to the new server won’t be too painful.

Everything out that is ready
How is the MMORPG doing? Season 3 of Blue Protocol: Star Resonance seems to be under the unofficial motto: Full throttle. After the game lost the initial hype of the former Amazon MMORPG by Season 2, BP:SR is fighting for its players on Steam.
According to SteamDB, the new season has more than doubled the player count, yet for the MMORPG, this merely translates to a peak player count of around 1,700 players on Steam. There are, of course, other platforms and mobile, but from almost 100,000 players on Steam, hardly any players remain for the title.
What does the new season bring? In line with the motto, the developers seem to be pulling out all the stops. So there are:
- two new maps
- six new dungeons (which will open over days and weeks in various difficulty levels as always)
- the new class Twin Striker
- a music system that you can also see in the trailer above
- class loot to gear your alts
- a new gear system with which you can modify your stats
- a new battle pass
- a crossover with the anime “Fairy Tail”, which brings characters from the anime into the MMORPG and introduces bosses, dungeons, and decoration for housing
On paper, that’s quite a lot of features for a new season, and especially the introduction of a new class is likely to make the title exciting again for many players. At the same time, it remains questionable whether the MMORPG can sustain itself through deeper systems and better dungeons and raids – this criticism has been repeatedly voiced before.
Blue Protocol: Star Resonance is serving quite a bit for the new season. If that isn’t enough, there is great concern that this might also be the last for the MMORPG, as with just a few thousand players, the new server will soon no longer be worthwhile. On the other hand, another MMO is swimming in money: Star Citizen has now earned 1 billion dollars, but instead of a release, there are only two unfinished games
