Place 6: Leagues of Votann
The space dwarves of the Leagues of Votann are still relatively new in the Warhammer 40,000 tabletop and are quite comparable to the T’au. However, compared to the new Xenos, the Leagues have a significant advantage.
Instead of developing everything themselves, the “Kin” of Votann were able to access existing Imperial technology and improved it. Technologically and in terms of armor, they are therefore nearly on par with the T’au.
Additionally, the Leagues of Votann are significantly superior to the T’au in number, which gives them an advantage over them. However, they would have little chance against the sheer striking power of the races above them here in the ranking.
Place 5: Orks
They live for combat, and when there is no one to beat up, they fight each other. Orks are by far the most warlike faction in Warhammer 40,000 and have the ability to turn any loot into a weapon.
Since Orks are technically fungi, they are extremely hard to exterminate and defeat completely. Upon death, an Ork leaves spores that can still develop into a new Ork many years later.
It is virtually impossible to completely cleanse a planet once infested by Orks without entirely destroying the planet. However, top players in Warhammer 40,000 are either not interested in keeping the worlds at all or have weapons and technologies that can completely annihilate an Ork along with its spores.
Place 4: Chaos
Although Chaos threatens the entire order in the galaxy, it is only in fourth place in this ranking. And that, despite its potential to annihilate the entire universe.
At the moment, however, the Emperor keeps the Chaos gods in check. So they have a powerful opponent they could theoretically be equal to. However, Chaos has a significant weakness: its gods do not truly want to win.
In theory, the Chaos gods could wipe out all life. However, they would also cease to exist, as they need the psychic energy from humans, Eldar, and others. Because chaos – as the name suggests – needs disorder, it also constantly fights against itself. In the ranking, you can find out which of the Chaos gods is actually the strongest.
