Before the official launch on October 5, 2026, there will be a launch-scale test for Aion 2. Those who want to participate will find all important information here.
When does the stress test take place? The launch-scale test for Aion 2 runs on the following two days:
- September 17: from 15:00 to 21:00
- September 18: from 21:00 to 03:00
How can I participate? Anyone interested can participate on Steam or through NCSoft’s platform PURPLE in the stress test. The developers acknowledge that there may be an age rating for access in some countries. However, no age classification has yet been assigned on Steam.
What is the scope of the test? The main goal is to put the servers of Aion 2 under full load for several hours. Therefore, some features are only limited or not available.
- The maximum level is limited to level 37 during the test.
- You cannot make purchases, all payment portals are disabled. Similarly, the marketplace, currency exchange, or trading between players.
- Buyers of founder packs do not have access to the contents of these packs.
- The wardrobe is disabled. Your test characters will only wear their standard outfits.
Will my progress be carried over? Anyone present on both test days will have access to their progress from the first test day on the second day. However, progress from the test will not be carried over into early access on September 30. During the early launch and launch, everyone starts again from scratch.
What is Aion 2 as an MMORPG? Aion 2 is a new theme park MMORPG from NCSoft, set to be released with a free-to-play model in late September or early October in the West.
