Aion 2 Daily and Weekly Checklist – The Perfect Start to Your First Week

Aion 2 is starting, and those who want to make the most out of the first days should set clear priorities. MeinMMO helps you in this guide with a checklist of daily and weekly content.

What does this guide provide? Anyone looking to start Aion 2 in the best possible way and not waste daily or weekly mandatory content is in the right place. We provide you with a checklist for the most important Dailys and Weeklys and tell you how the optimal start into the MMORPG from NCSoft looks.

Note: The community currently assumes that the early access launch on September 30 marks the beginning of the weekly ID in Aion 2. In that case, the ID for the first week would run until Wednesday, October 7. All players who start with the Free2Play launch on October 5 would have a very short first ID. In the article, you will find tips for both starting points.

Checklist for Dailies

Which Daily content is important in Aion 2? There really isn’t that much:

• The Duty Quests from your quest journal – you can complete 5 Duty Quests per day (only with one character per server)
• Emergency Supply Requests require you to provide certain materials or equipment parts, for which you are rewarded with Abyss points and other items. Since all players receive the same Supply Requests, you can infer from the delivery missions which items are likely selling well on the marketplace.

Tip: Look for Duty Quests that have a high chance of rewarding you with crystals for the pet system, keys for hidden dice, unique equipment parts, or Ariel Fragments for the Daevanion board.

Checklist for Weeklys

Which Weekly content is important in Aion 2? Here you will find many more contents that you should complete before each weekly ID reset:

• Daily Dungeons can be completed 14 times a week (only with one character per server)
• Ascension Trial can be completed with each character 3 times a week
• In PvP battlefields, you can earn reward for victories 3 times a week per character
• PvE Weekly Quests can be obtained from the command merchant in the capital; you can buy up to 12 of these quests per server
• PvP Weekly Quests are sold by the command merchant in the Abyss, but you can only afford up to 20 per week per server
• Abyss Events: 2 times a week (probably on Wednesday and Saturday), PvP battles for the three artifacts of the zone take place in the Abyss. Successfully captured artifacts grant you and your twinks Abyss Corridors thereafter, which remain open until the next battle; these are instanced areas where you can defeat as many monsters as possible for Kinah and Abyss points within 2 minutes
• Weekly Supply Requests are the weekly variant of the delivery missions, and there are also delivery orders that remain active for the entire season
• Sanctuary Raid: The raid challenge for 10 players rewards you twice a week, but should not have a priority for you at the start of Aion 2

Odyle Energy, Tickets, and Keys

What else should I consider? In Aion 2, in addition to Dailies and Weeklys, there are several other content types for which you need to spend a certain resource to participate or receive rewards. These resources build up over time and therefore do not fit into the rigid Daily and Weekly framework.

• Shugo Festival Reward Key (from level 13): Required to receive rewards at the Shugo Festival; there are 2 new keys per day per server (not per character), with a total of 14 keys you can have
• Odyle Energy (from level 22): Needed to obtain loot from Expedition Dungeons (40 Odyle Energy per opened loot box); you gain 15 Odyle Energy on all characters every 3 hours (120 energy per day; up to 840 energy can be accumulated)
• Nightmare Tickets (from level 45): Each boss challenge in the Nightmare content consumes a participation ticket; you receive 2 new tickets per day per character
• Invasion Keys for dimensional invasions: A randomly appearing event where you have to repel waves of enemies with random players and defeat a boss; you always need an Invasion Key for the reward loot box; you receive one key every day, and you can possess a total of 7 keys

Tip: You can secure additional Odyle Energy through the crafting feature “Substance Morph.” Crafting is available to all characters 4 times a week. Additionally, there are another 16 crafts available per week per server (up to 20 total on your main character).

Also, visit the subscription shop every week, as you can purchase particularly valuable items under the “Special” tab, such as more Odyle Energy, tickets for Daily Dungeons, or the rainbow-colored Soul Staves for the pet system. The shop only sells these offers in limited quantities, but the mentioned recommendations are replenished every week.

The Perfect Start in Aion 2 for Early Access

If you want to play Aion 2 as efficiently as possible, set the following goals for the first day:

• Goal 1: Quickly bring your main character and all twinks you want to actively play up to level 22
  • This way, you unlock the Odyle Energy on your characters and start building energy points for later dungeon runs
• Goal 2: Bring your main character to maximum level 45 (Optional: complete the main quest line)
  • This will unlock the Nightmare content and ensure you receive the first new tickets on the second day
• Goal 3: Complete the first 5 Duty Quests with your main character

Note that if you are quick, you can reach level 45 in a few hours. However, considering the start time at 3 PM, you still need to hurry (and hope for smooth servers) to achieve these 3 goals on day 1.

If, against all odds, you have some time left, level up your twinks further or start working with your main character through the regional quests, sealed dungeons, outposts, and feathers in the open world.

What comes next from day 2? Here too, we have several goals for you that you should pursue with high priority in the coming days:

• Goal 1: Complete your 5 Duty Quests every day
• Goal 2: Bring your twinks to level 45
• Goal 3: Complete the main quest line with your main character (if not done yet)
• Goal 4: Complete all regional quests, sealed dungeons, and outposts with your main character, also gather all feathers, and upgrade the monolith with them
• Goal 5: Bring your main character to item level 1,400 or higher

If you achieve these goals, you can sprinkle in content that has a slightly lower priority:

• Get your first 3 battlefield victories
• Participate in the Shugo Festival
• Play Abyss Corridors after winning Abyss battles
• Complete the main quest line, side quests, sealed dungeons, and outposts with your twinks (you don’t need to gather the feathers again)

Important goals by October 7: Ensure that you have played the most important Weeklys before the first weekly ID reset. The following contents should be your highest priority:

• Expedition Dungeons
• Nightmare bosses
• Ascension Trial
• Daily Dungeons
• Weekly Quests for PvE and PvP

Tip: Once you have reached Goal 5 and thus item level 1,400 or higher, focus on the Expedition Dungeon Vakron Sky Island with your main character. There you can expect the potentially best item rewards at that time.

It is especially worthwhile to wait until the last day of the ID for the Nightmare bosses and Ascension Trial. The stronger your character is, the more levels or difficulty tiers you can skip and thus secure better rewards.

The Perfect Start in Aion 2 on October 5

If there is indeed a weekly ID reset on Wednesday, Free2Play players have just two days until the Weeklys reset. Nevertheless, our recommendation for the launch day remains the same as for early access:

• Goal 1: Quickly bring your main character and all twinks you want to actively play up to level 22
  • This way, you unlock the Odyle Energy on your characters and start building energy points for later dungeon runs
• Goal 2: Bring your main character to maximum level 45 (Optional: complete the main quest line)
  • This will unlock the Nightmare content and ensure you receive the first new tickets on the second day
• Goal 3: Complete the first 5 Duty Quests with your main character

What comes next from day 2? You should prioritize playing the Daily Dungeons and the Ascension Trial on Tuesday. Also, definitely complete the 5 Duty Quests. Once all that is done, level your twinks to maximum level. If you’re fast enough, you can also play the Ascension Trial with them.

If you still have some time left, visit the PvP battlefields with all characters and work through side quests, sealed dungeons, outposts, and feathers with your main character. Your goal: item level 1,400. From October 7, you can then dive fresh into the normal endgame grind. How to best reach an item level of 2,200+ from there, you can learn here:

Do I have to play like this? No, absolutely not. The grind in Aion 2 is lengthy and won’t escape you. At the same time, the PvE challenges of the MMORPG are not so tough that you must necessarily strive for the best possible equipment in the game.
