After 10 years, the manga colleague of Naruto and One Piece gets an anime finale. The last part of the final season features a villain with such an overwhelming ability that even Son Goku would have no chance against it.
Although Bleach was part of the Big Three
along with One Piece and Naruto, the anime adaptation had a rather sad history. The anime ended prematurely in 2012 with the penultimate arc (Fullbring), while the manga ended in 2016. It wasn’t until 2022 that the anime continued and started the Thousand Year Blood War
arc.
On July 25, 2026, Cour 4, the final part, will begin, concluding the anime 10 years after the manga ended. Finally, one will be able to witness the true power of the main villain Yhwach, which is overwhelmingly powerful even by anime standards.

An opponent that is virtually unbeatable
Attention: In the following section, we will not spoil any plot points, but discuss Yhwach’s abilities.
What can Yhwach do? Yhwach is the Quincy King and the ruler of the Wandenreich, which is challenging the Shinigami of the Soul Society in the current arc. His goal is to destroy the three worlds (Soul Society, Human World, Hueco Mundo).
Being the son of the Soul King, he inherently possesses enormous spiritual energy, making him the probably most powerful Quincy. He has immense physical strength and is skilled in direct combat with a sword.
Yhwach can absorb and manipulate Reishi, the spiritual essence of all souls. His abilities are based on this power. Thanks to his innate ability, he can give other Quincies parts of his soul to enhance or heal them.
What truly makes him overwhelmingly powerful is his ability The Almighty
. He can see any possible version of the future and alter it to his preference. This allowed him to defeat probably the strongest Shinigami. He can counter any ability, even when he should be injured or defeated. Yhwach simply adapts directly or lays traps for the future.
Although characters such as Kenpachi or Son Goku from Dragon Ball would be physically far superior to him, he could defeat them by altering reality. On Reddit, a user summarized this quite well: Have you ever seen that episode of ‘South Park’ where they pretend to be ninjas? In it, Cartman constantly makes up new superpowers and claims he’s stronger and better than everyone else. That’s exactly how Yhwach is.
