A well-known CoD leaker has revealed new alleged details about the future of Call of Duty: Warzone. The arsenal of the Battle Royale is said to offer over 100 different weapons in 2021, but that’s not all.
Where does the info come from? The supposed details come from the well-known CoD leaker Tom Henderson (formerly LongSensation). He has previously accurately predicted details about Warzone, Modern Warfare, and generally about Call of Duty.
He has now commented on the future of the Battle Royale mode Warzone in two tweets.
This is what the latest leak says about the future of CoD Warzone
Over 100 different weapons: On the one hand, Henderson talks about weapons in Warzone.
The mode is supposed to be fully integrated into the new Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War by December 2020, while also being playable as a standalone version and still through Modern Warfare.
And the leaker says that by the end of the lifecycle of Black Ops Cold War, in the fall of 2021, Warzone will feature over 100 different weapons in its arsenal. An impressive selection – especially considering that Warzone can be played completely for free.
It seems that the entire weapon range from Modern Warfare and Cold War (including new weapons yet to come) will be unified in the Battle Royale mode.
Complete rebalancing for the Cold War arsenal: Furthermore, Henderson states that Raven Software is working closely with Infinity Ward (Modern Warfare) and Treyarch (Cold War) on the integration, and that in this context, the weapons from Black Ops Cold War will receive a complete overhaul in terms of balance.
These will be adjusted to match the current weapons in Warzone, which come from Modern Warfare. Cold War weapons will not have a slower TTK in Warzone compared to those from Modern Warfare.
In the traditional multiplayer, this is indeed the case, and many have already wondered how this situation will be resolved in Warzone.
Warzone continues with the next Call of Duty: What might not really surprise anyone: According to Henderson, CoD Warzone will continue with the next Call of Duty in 2021, and the new CoD title will be integrated into the Battle Royale – just as it is currently the case with CoD Black Ops Cold War.
It has been officially known for some time that Warzone will continue for years and is supposed to serve as a constant that connects the different CoD titles.
