A goldfish named ‘Tortellini’ has successfully completed the first phase of Malenia, the toughest boss of Elden Ring.
What kind of goldfish is this?
- The YouTuber and Twitch streamer ‘PointCrow’ has a goldfish named Tortellini.
- PointCrow connected the goldfish’s tank to Elden Ring and successfully converted Tortellini’s movements into in-game inputs.
- Each area of the tank was assigned to a button. When the goldfish swam into a specific area, it executed the action assigned to that button in Elden Ring.
- After Tortellini successfully defeated Margit and Godrick, the goldfish faced Malenia and played the first phase of the challenging boss fight.
- Tortellini is not the same fish that secretly bought from Nintendo.
How did the fight go? At first, Tortellini had to take some defeats. Although he managed to land good hits that dealt a lot of damage, evasion or parrying is not his strong suit.
PointCrow occasionally changed the build played by Tortellini between attempts, but even with the changes, Malenia was too strong for the goldfish for a long time.
In the final attempt, however, Tortellini managed to land some significant combos and even inflicted bleed damage. Then he evaded an attack from Malenia and ended the fight with a surprising victory.
At the moment of victory, Tortellini may not have been fully aware of what he had achieved, but PointCrow and his Twitch chat were all the more delighted. The content creator chose the right words: ‘This proves that my goldfish can not only play Elden Ring, but that he may be better than you in the game.’
Even the comments under the YouTube video documenting Tortellini’s ‘Elden Ring’ journey are full of awe for the fish:

Why is Malenia considered the toughest boss in Elden Ring? Malenia has been a tremendous challenge for many players of Elden Ring. Her signature move, which is often deadly, is very difficult to dodge. Additionally, she heals with every successful attack.
Ultimately, the boss fight even gave rise to the story of the player ‘LetMeSoloHer’, who joined foreign players without armor to help them in the fight against Malenia, thereby becoming a community legend.
