Despite various reports, that the costs for RAM are supposed to decrease again, prices remain high: If you want to buy 64 GB DDR5 RAM, you currently pay at least 700 Euros, sometimes even more (via Geizhals.de).
One user had great luck: Because he paid only 6.99 US Dollars for 64 GB DDR5. Converted, that’s about 6 Euros. Some users on Reddit now call it “one of the best deals of all time.”
6 Euros for 64 GB of Memory is a real stroke of luck
What exactly did the user do? In his post on Reddit, the person writes that he found memory in a local clearance shop. It was hanging there next to other items.
He explained that the memory was not marked with a price and that the seller did not exactly know how to determine the price. In the end, the seller charged the person 6.99 US Dollars, which is just about 6 Euros. The price can be seen on the receipt that the user has taken a photo of for his post.
Can such luck also happen to us? In Germany, there are also stores that sell second-hand goods, usually social buying houses.
Stores that specialize in liquidation are rather rare here. Often, they are dealers who work with large customers and not with private customers.
