Already in the first Monster Hunter, players could fight against the elder dragon Fatalis. He is a classic black dragon, who despite his normal
appearance represents one of the greatest dangers in the lore and for the players.
Fatalis was said to have once destroyed an entire advanced kingdom, among other things with his flames, which are said to melt stone. It is also suspected that Fatalis is responsible for natural disasters.
It becomes strange when looking at his behavior. There are no reports that Fatalis hunts other monsters as prey; he seems to focus more on the pure destruction of living beings, which raises the question of whether he can truly be compared to other monsters.
