Due to his curiosity, he discovered the land of Targon. Initially, he thought the people would praise him, but they stole his knowledge and banished him from the land through magic. With this knowledge and the power of Aurelion, they created immortal warriors.
After a catastrophe in Runeterra, the magic that imprisoned him weakened, and he can finally express his rage towards Runeterra.
Aurelion is also a powerful divine being who can create stars himself. The other dragons in Runeterra and those from Westeros are merely small figures to him. The extent of his power remains unfathomable to this day (Source: League of Legends).
