Call of Duty: Mobile, the mobile branch of the popular shooter series, is getting a new feature. Players of Modern Warfare and Warzone are likely already familiar with it, as it is actively and gladly used there.
What is this feature? It is about the Gunsmith feature, as already possessed by Modern Warfare. With this, it is possible to equip weapons with new attachments and thus completely change their characteristics.
The developers announced on Twitter that this will be introduced with the upcoming Season 9 in CoD Mobile, both for multiplayer and for battle royale. The season is set to start “later this week.”
The feature has been a community wish for quite some time, as the community is still very active. CoD Mobile was a huge hit at its release and can still record great successes.
Build Your Own Weapons in CoD Mobile
How can I customize my weapons? Similar to Modern Warfare, you will be able to equip up to five attachments in a total of nine slots for each primary weapon. You can change the following:
- Sight (“Optics”)
- Laser
- Muzzle (“Muzzle”)
- Barrel (“Barrel”)
- Underbarrel (“Underbarrel”)
- Ammo (“Ammunition”)
- Grip (“Rear Grip”)
- Stock (“Stock”)
- Perk (“Perk”)
Just like in Modern Warfare, there are attachments through leveling the weapon and there will be blueprints that come with a fixed set of attachments and a skin. Secondary weapons, apart from pistols, can only be visually modified.
What does this do for me? Through the attachments, you have the opportunity to customize the characteristics of your favorite weapons, compensate for their weaknesses, or possibly build secret variants of a weapon.
This way, you can also reconfigure weapons for completely different ranges – an assault rifle for close combat or for sniper distance? No problem if you do it right.
From the latest installment of the series, Modern Warfare, and the battle royale Warzone, the feature is indispensable. As soon as a new weapon is revealed, experts rush to the attachments and see how to squeeze the most out of the guns.
That Activision Blizzard is now rolling out such updates for CoD Mobile is no surprise. Recently, it was mentioned that Diablo Immortal is a good idea and just the beginning.
