Anyone who pays for Discord Nitro can look forward to a free subscription to Game Pass in the future. We explain what you receive and how it works.
What kind of action is this? A few weeks ago, the developers of Discord and Xbox Game Pass announced a collaboration on X.com. It is now clear what users can expect. All users of Discord Nitro, the premium subscription of the messaging service, will receive a free subscription to Xbox Game Pass.
Those who currently have Game Pass and Nitro can save €8.99, provided they pay Discord Nitro for €10.00 per month.

What is included? Subscribers receive the Xbox Game Pass in its cheapest edition “Essential.” It includes over 50 games such as Stardew Valley, DayZ, and Fallout 4.
Additionally, the Pass includes 10 hours of cloud gaming. This allows you to play various titles from anywhere. For example, you can play Fallout 4 on your phone with an Xbox controller at a café, without your PC.
Many of Xbox’s reward programs are also included. According to the Discord help page, you can earn up to $25 in rewards.
Who should be happy? The Xbox Game Pass for PC and Xbox will be rolled out to all Nitro subscribers in the coming weeks, except for the “Nitro Basic” subscription. According to Discord, the feature will be gradually activated. If you don’t see it yet, your account has not been reached yet
and is slightly behind.
The Game Pass should only apply to users from certain regions, but Germany, Austria, and Switzerland are included.
Once the Game Pass is activated for you, you can press the Discord logo on your server list and find the “Nitro homepage” there. You should then see the Xbox Game Pass, which you can claim by pressing “Request for Free”.
You will then be prompted to connect your Discord account with your Xbox account. To play on PC, you need the Xbox Game Pass App.
The collaboration between Discord and Xbox benefits all players who have one of the two subscriptions.
