What is the deal with the flying mount? Torrent is a kind of ghost horse that looks like a mixture of a horse, a cow, and a goat. This loyal mount allows for quick travel across the open world of Elden Ring, where cruel traps and terrible bosses are lurking.
However, thanks to a very bizarre glitch, Torrent can also carry you through the skies. But first, you must let the poor creature meet a gruesome fate.
Looks easy, but it’s very difficult
This is how the glitch works: To make Torrent fly, it must first die. If you can bear that, proceed as follows:
- Go to the steep cliffs at the locations “Bestial Sanctum” or “House Vulkan”
- Ride steeply up the slope
- Find out where the “Death Plane” begins, which is the point from which you would fall to your death
- Then jump from the back of the creature and let it helplessly and desperately plummet to its doom
- Save yourself by jumping to a safe spot
- Call Torrent again. It may not appear at first; instead, a healing potion will be consumed when the horse spawns. That’s how you know if it worked
- Do it again and call Torrent again.
The mount now appears, and its gruesome death experience has likely changed it. Because now you can ride it through the air without worry.
