The new Yeedi Cube aims to improve significantly over its predecessors. MeinMMO editor Patrick Freese was able to test the robot at home and shows you what its good and bad features are.
What kind of robot is this? The Yeedi Cube is a vacuum robot that vacuums and mops your floors. It comes with a docking station that empties the dirt container, washes the mop pads, and also dries them. The mopping performance is described by the Yeedi team as ‘revolutionary’, and the emptying system is said to work ‘extraordinarily efficiently’.
I have already tested several vacuum and mop robots here for MeinMMO, and in my household with a dog, every model has previously hit its limits. The company Yeedi has provided me with the Cube for testing. Does the new model achieve more than its predecessors?

Vacuuming and Mopping in Everyday Life – Does it Work Better?
These are the promises: On the product page on Amazon, the Yeedi team writes that the Cube is
- More flexible
- More thorough
- More powerful
- and more effective
After being able to test several dust and mop devices, I was curious about how the Cube would perform in my household. My floors alternate between laminate, carpet, and PVC. Additionally, my shepherd dog lives with me, who is currently shedding her fur. The robot is used daily and cleans up stains from food and water, as well as some fur clumps.
But how well does it handle that? In the past, I had particular problems with the fur, as the suction holes of the dust container quickly got blocked, greatly reducing the dust performance. Is the Cube really better?

The App: In the app, not much has changed. I use the same software on the smartphone as for my other Yeedi robots. The map creation works well as usual. I can conveniently set all settings such as regular cleaning, rest times, and no-go zones there without problems.

The Vacuuming: After about 4 weeks of daily cleaning of my apartment, it becomes clear that the small dust container has problems with long dog hairs. They quickly block the entrance of the dust container, preventing other dirt from making its way into the container and staying behind. The docking station also struggles with this, not being able to vacuum out the dense fur from the container.
In a room without dog hair, the vacuuming works very well, though. If the container is not overly filled with fur, the vacuuming also works smoothly.
It works better when I let the vacuum clean twice a day. That way, less fur falls to the ground from cleaning to cleaning.
Crumb bread, chips, and other dirt are effortlessly vacuumed from the floor by the Cube, as long as there is space in the dust container.
If you are interested in a vacuum robot but are looking in other price ranges, you should check out the following test:
The Mopping: For the test, I distributed three stains on the laminate floor: jam, ketchup, and coffee. I let everything soak in and dry for more than 24 hours and then performed a room cleaning.
- The jam was only partially removed, a large part remained even after the second mopping process on the floor
- The ketchup was hardly removed. The Cube could not loosen the drying from the laminate
- The coffee was almost completely removed, only the outlines remained visible in some places
After that, I spread a fresh stain of ketchup on the ground and immediately started the stain cleaning. That worked well, the ketchup stain was completely removed in the second pass. Unfortunately, the lifting of the mop was not high enough, so some ketchup landed on the carpet when the Cube rolled over it. But I could quickly remove that with a damp cloth.
In the video, you can watch the mopping process of the test:

Conclusion
The Yeedi Cube is not as ‘revolutionary’ and ‘extraordinarily’ as it is advertised. While I really like the innovation with the large water tank, which gives the robot more weight for cleaning, the results are very similar to what the predecessors can and cannot do. Stains that have already soaked in longer still require me to scrub by hand. After a fresh ketchup stain is wiped away, I have to ensure that the robot does not pull the ketchup over a carpet. The device only copes with pet hair to a limited extent. These are points that I have criticized for years with these products, and unfortunately, there is no groundbreaking innovation here.
Under ‘normal’ circumstances (i.e., without particularly shedding animals and no long-soaked stains), the Yeedi Cube works decently and does its job well. If it is used twice daily, in the morning and evening, the amount of pet hair per run is kept in check. Furthermore, the stains cannot soak for long. That is the compromise I have made now and with which I can cope.
The washing and emptying station is a luxury that I no longer want to do without.
