The release date of Legion, the next World of Warcraft expansion, seems to have been leaked. The next WoW expansion will be released no later than September 21, 2016.

On a page of Battle.net, the release date of the expansion has now been discovered: “The expected release date of the game is on or before September 21, 2016,” it says. The page was a pre-sale page. It went online prematurely and has since been removed.
The image also shows various pre-sale bonuses: Including a Lvl100 boost for a character or early access to the new class Demon Hunter.
The prices for Legion are $50 for the standard game. A deluxe edition with mount, pet, and additional content for Diablo 3 and Starcraft 2 is expected to cost $70.
The expansion Legion was presented by Blizzard at Gamescom. In addition to the new class Demon Hunter, Illidan will celebrate his return. It will be a “Demon” add-on. With class halls and artifact weapons, many ideas have been incorporated that have long been on the community’s wish list.
Whether all this will happen, we will find out in the coming days. If the expansion is only in September 2016, it would indeed be a huge disappointment. Many had hoped it would be released alongside the movie in the summer of 2016, not until fall.
One hope remains – the date could be the latest possible date for the end of summer
While the hope remains that the date is basically the “worst case” and that an earlier date has actually been considered, at least the wording “or earlier” allows for that.
September 21 is the last day of summer – that could mean “We’re still bringing it out in summer.” With Warlords of Draenor, a similar tactic was used, stating: “We’ll be bringing it out in fall” and gave December 20 as the date with “on that day or earlier.” Warlords of Draenor was then released on November 13, 2014.
